I'm a Christian and I've been struggling with some sin in my life. I found this band and they have totally helped me change. I hope I can meet them one day and thank each member for helping me fight this sin and grow closer to God.
Amen to that brother. I can say the same, some of their message is toward Christians, keeping strong, deeper repentance... etc. I still listen to them daily.
i used to be an athiest. it made me the most pissed off that i could ever be. the anger in me ate me up and i came to a point that i couldnt be happy anymore, i was always pissed off and in the end of it i felt very weak in my mind like i had a mental breakdown. a band named hb that i listen to, i found out they were a christian band. one of their music videos changed me totally. im doing worse financially right now than i was when i was an athiest, and im happier now and more optimistic than i ever have been.
Been there, I thought my anger was going to destroy me, until I started going back to church again and met friends who had my back. god helped me change through them.
pretty cool to see people of God have fun n play some good metal. got kicked out my house by my parents,only becuase they thought my musical taste made me evil and a demonic satan worshiper. i'm glad some people get you can scream n play good heavy riffs, n still praise.

That's awesome!!!!!This is my favorite Christian death metal band and my 5th favorite Christian band!!!!They're the heaviest Christian death metal band I've listened to and they have amazing Christian messages in their music!!!They are also bold about being a Christian band and about being Christians and not hypocrites or false profits!!!!
Amen and again I say amen. I have been doing this for 24 years and I have seen hundreds perhaps even thousands come to Jesus in Christian Heavy Metal concerts. BUT I have also seen thousands get hurt by Churches and "church people" and stop serving God because of hurt, pain, and ridicule. That is why I am making my new video series.

To those who say metal is compromise, sound wave patterns are not demonic. It is the message the lyrics convey that matters, and the lyrics that this band write are heavily Christian. Metal was originally the devil's weapon, but we are using his invention against him. TO HELL WITH YOUR HATRED.
He is absolutely correct in that the Father and his son Jesus Christ become part of you in a way that is most intimate. When someone questions my faith,I am more than willing to let the holy spirit become the prevalent force and it scares them "those of the enemy of our beloved Father and his son Jesus Christ our Saviour".
I hear a lot of christians say "I don't listen to the lyrics, just the instruments" while listening to death metal. So many are blind to the fact what kind of spiritual warfare is going on when you listen to death metal, or any other genre of music. Its whats in the words that set the atmosphere! In the bible, Psalms 150:5 it says praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals! Impending Doom and so many other bands are bringing light into a dark scene.
I agree, there are some christian bands out there who do so. These guys are legit though. ive talked to them and met them. Saw them last night wth sleeping giant and the presence of God was STRONG. People got saved and the singer of sleeping giant told me a kid got healed from a speech impediment. Tell me how these guys are fake.
simply put a light is of no use in the sunshine. you don't have to be of the world to be in it.. when something is true regardless of belief its amazing how silly people sound when they argue. Behind every TRUE Metalhead lies a complex person with very real emotion. next time you watch a band take note of how few views they have compared to music riddled with profanity and materialism. Any real artist creates and does so because they are passionate about it

I see where you are coming from, but the truth is that they are bringing the light to a place of darkness, they are opening up people's minds to the fact that Jesus is for everyone, and anyone. There are two kinds of music: Music that is for the glory of God, and music that isn't. They stand up on stage boldly and speak truth in a scene that only hears lies. Also, if you think that they make a lot of money, you obviously don't know much about metal haha

Dude For Today is an amazing band!! They were my first metal concert and I where the guitar pick on my neck that the lead guitarist threw to me. For Today and Impending Doom are some of my all time favorite bands.
Glorifying God and Christian lyrics go hand in hand in music. You can't glorify God without the proper lyrics. Also: For Today, while their music is good, have basically condoned homosexuality in the past. So, just watch yourself there.

Christianity isn't a religion, but its because "Religion" is about good works i.e. what you can do to get to heaven or what you can do to earn Gods approval or EARN your way into heaven. Christianity is the exact opposite. Christianity says there is no way we will EVER earn heaven we are not worthy of even worshiping God. That we are totally messed up but that God is so merciful that he gave Jesus to die for us so all we have to do is believe in him of and ask him for forgiveness.
This music is not demonic. Does is have Denomic bands in the genre? Sure it does. So does every other genre is some form or another. You just seem very close-minded if you say these people are demonic for playing a heavier style of music. You probably don't know much about Christian metal but there are some popular bands that are saving people every day.

Actually, Christianity is a religion. Religion isn't bad though. They were rules Jesus set for us to follow so we can be closer to him. Think of them as guidelines.
So tell me what are these words that sound like any other metal band and acts like other metal bands, eerily similar to marilyn manson and the like, don't be deceived in thinking that this is pleasing to Jesus and this is saving souls just because they talk about Jesus, so many so-called Christian music that makes a lot money using the Christian logo as so many other venues.
The preachyness is kind of abrasive, but I guess he's more open minded than the average Christian. I don't think you need God in your life to be happy or be at peace, you just need the right mentality and do your best.
