Im happy Louise supports you, she is always welcome for us, bringing family in, Im so happy that she supports you and what you do. much love I love it when you try to teach her guitar riffs
Maybe you're not practicing. Remember, noodling along to songs isn't practice. Set up a practice routine. One hour filled with practicing 2-3 techniques. I'd focus on 2 techniques 30 min each with a metronome. Quiet room, total focus. Just one hour. After that you take a break or you just noodle for fun. Do this every day and take some days off. Treat it like going to the gym. You don't work your muscles 16 hours 7 days a week. It's too much. And your brain isn't going to build more connections if you don't take breaks. Have off days is what I'm saying. Maybe even a week to relax. Then come back and you'll be better than before I promise. Every time I take a break and come back with a fresh mind I can play better. Every time I do it I have a minor breakthrough.
Jeffrey adding to the Dimebag collection. Great gift Jeffrey! I have Ola my Dimebag pick earlier this year. I'm looking forward to seeing the picks on display in the future.
@@pandabearguy1 Bass is in the low end of the sound spectrum. This is what you hear when you turn the bass knob up on your guitar pedals. That's the only bass I know ;)
Ola and louise you guys have a great dynamic on video. No one has any faults you guys are one of kind and enjoy your videos. Much respect gos out to the both of you.
Hey Ola! Just wanted to say it's really awesome to see you hiring people for Solar, to work at the office with you. I have the amazing opportunity of working in a company I really enjoy, and wouldn't picture myself out of it in a long time. Just the same, it comes to my mind that solar must be an awesome place to work at! Wish you two all the success, keep it up, loving the shows! Cheers from brazil
What an amazing office. Rad to see it from the apartment through today. Congrats, and looking forward to applying for a job at Ola Englund Enterprises when you get your own building. Cheers!
Absolutely love the concept of listening to new music and speaking about it during the video. I try to do that every Friday at work with my co-workers 😁
Jeffrey's gift really touched me 😢. What a great idea to pass on memorabilia to someone who will care for it. I'm getting older and this has inspired me to do the same.
Great show as always! Louise speaks better English than a lot of the native speakers I know here in the states. Where I am located, at one time we had the largest Swede population in the world outside of Sweden, so listening to you two talk takes me back to listening to all the Swedes I grew up around. Please get a couple of Daddario's guitar rests, and seeing you two lean those great guitars (my wife loved that purple one) on the cabs was bringing back my PTSD from seeing too many guitars slide off amps.
Ola, you inspire me so much as an entrepreneur, business man and musician. I´m glad you´re doing so well and keep on doing your thing because it´s amazing! Also dont forget to listen to Spiritbox - Constance. An absolute killer song!
I don't see many nice things today, but that gift from Jefferey was heartfelt. It's nice to see there are still some great people out there!! And reading in the comments I saw Wesley Trott had donated a Dime pick as well. Hell Yeah to both of you very nice gestures! Thanks for the great shows Mr. and Mrs. \m/ \m/ you guys rock
Absolutely LOVED IT !!! The wife & I have been waiting for the next metal morning like I'm sure everyone else has ... you guys knocked it out of the park !!! PS the wife wants to know what was in the cup ... if not water ???
Its incridible how much u have achieve into this. What a beautiful family and place u have thre. Congrats Ola, Keep kicking some ass for us, great episode!
I'm an old man too. If Ola ends up with a memorabilia museum I'll throw everything I find at the kid. Unfortunately I wore the autographed Far Beyond Driven shirts so they got washed. I think one might still have some sharpie on it; we still have a storage unit that hasn't been emptied from when we moved a couple years ago. I have already lost a lot of small souvenirs from the years of shows and working with vendors and crew. My brother in law used to work as a crew boss for Double Tee promotions in Oregon USA and he's got even cooler stuff than me (and is also old and ill now). Curators of otherwise lost knowledge are not rare but they're also not plentiful; catch them where you find them.
Rolling in the deep! Come on bro, I'm a metalhead, but Adele had me stop and take notice. I'm with Louise. Amazing vocalist. Oh yeah, I should add, BURNING WITCHES Witch of the North is in the running for best metal album of 2021. So far they are getting my vote. Amazing band of women, I'm sure you've heard them, if not, check em out!
Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil is my favorite metal female vocalist! Louise, you speak English beautifully and you have a lovely personality. I love watching the two of you together. Your dog is also hella adorable.
@Mrs Englund: Your English is incredibly good, I can speak with some authority as I am English. You are the only person who is conscious of any faults, everyone else just loves to hear you speak. Believe me, you make far fewer mistakes that many native English speakers do, myself included. I have been living in France for the last twenty plus years and am still very self-conscious when speaking French in public. People tell me that it sounds charming and the mistakes add to that charm. I guess we just have to embrace that.
For female vocalists - in metal anyway - Tatiana Shmayluk of Jinjer and Floor Jansen of Nightwish are my absolute favorites (world class singers)! And Courtney LaPlante of Spiritbox is certainly great as well.
I was at the Denver Ozzfest 97 and Vinnie threw out a signed drum head at the end of their set and the person right in front of me caught it. I can still visualize the moment watching it skip off of finger tips of everyone ahead of me. (hope that person still has it!!) The only PanterA shirt i ever had was from that show (smoking cowboy on the front and Trendkill 97 on the back) and it disappeared at some point in my adulthood.....all the shirts i got at shows over the years and that one is the one i lose. Also Dino from FF was wearing an Elway jersey during their set and that is the year the Broncos won their first super bowl....i think it helped!
Louise, for what it's worth your english is really good actually. English is all that I've ever known or spoken, and I've never had any problems understanding you whatsoever. Cheers from South Florida, USA 🇺🇸 Oh, and I'm an old school metal head and even I love Billie Eilish! 👍
Matt heafey uses his epiphone snowfall les paul custom and several versions of the 5150/6505/6505+/evh 5150 stealth. He is big into les pauls and 5150s.
There you have it! The perfect Xmas present for your wife - the Solar 1.7 purplular pearl burl with evertune swirl! Suggestions for naming your show : 1. The Englunds 2. Louise takes over 3. Happy metal couple Female singer - Amy Lee? Like obvious
Really loved this video! Glad to see more topics being covered. Also, I love your guys accent when speaking English! haha, think everyone is self-conscious a little bit about their voice/accent/spoken language etc. Cheers
Louise, Your English is Awesome. It should be Louise and Ola. You both are so fun to watch , the show has something different every week. You both have interesting topics, and you both have super personalities.😊
Suggestion to both Louise and Ola on female guitarists. Not Metal but it's hard to beat Yvette Young on creativity! She's just a beast of a musician! Also hearing Spiritbox with the female growl, 2 bands came into my mind. Might not be very close to each other genre-wise but anyway - Once Human and Svalbard. Cheers 🍻
Jen, Nita, and Courtney all rip, and are worthy choices. But my favorite lady metal guitarist is Gina Gleason in Baroness. She can shred Pantera, but she has a lot of personality in her playing that I like. Generally all on a T style guitar and no Trem. She’s a badass.
Nili Brosh is a another really excellent guitar player, probably not as well known as the other ladies you mentioned. She was also in the Iron Maidens at some point.
