Let's Resin recently released a wonderful new silicone mold of a quite large snail (not as large as Dr. Doolittle once traveled in, but still...), and I couldn't wait to try it out! I really wanted to start with epoxy resin, but since Aqua Cast actually sets up, cures and can be demolded much faster, I started there, plus I tossed in some chromeleon micas and metallic powder. A chrome pen even got involved. The biggest hurdle -- once again -- trying to achieve a good Black with Aqua Cast. Let's just say the colorant gods laughed and laughed and laughed.
