ft.island is from the same entertainment and the senior group of n.flying (the band of the one who did the blind duet with chen you reacted to around a month ago). I love both bands so much. recently ft.island dropped a video of them singing one of their older songs and one of their new release while being in the back of a racing car. It’s hilarious 😂😂

I can't explain it Hong Ki's voice just stops my heart and I adore when Jae Jin gets to join in as he brings something something. On your post about single/title track of the year I had picked Burn It which for me is a tad, just a tad hahaha ahead of this one. I know you will get around to the few lives I have mentioned and the video of the seventeen lads getting to sing with him during one of his radio shows and they just being floored by him still awaits all in good time. Just so happy they are back. in my head I dream of a collab with Park Bom and Hong Ki but don't think my aforementioned heart could take it. Thanks for this Aaron

I'm the 100th like . I love it when people get out of kpop zone and start to discover kbands. Korean rockers are damn good. But still FTIsland though more on the rock side is an idol band. The legit rockers are harder. But FT Island is really good. They tour a lot. They are one of the few major k groups that toured Turkey.And their live concert was so good.
I’m more at the classic side. I like dinosaurs of krock. Shin Jung-hyeon, Jung Dongha, Yoon Dohyun, Chang Kiha&The Faces, SeomoonTak, Boohwal, Yin Jaebeom, Jeon In-kwon, Park Wankyu, Kim Jongseo, Kang SanAe. Reaction wise they won’t bring you as many views as kpop but you’ll love them

And we were so lucky to listened the double titled song in this album- SERIOUS and BURN IT in live!!!! Hong-Gi ‘s voice are definitely more charming in live 🔥🔥🔥
Oh my god! This is so funny bc I just mentioned FTIsland's new album on your B.A.P video you posted which must have given you a laugh to read knowing you were putting this out. I actually like their pre-release Burn It a tiny bit more but I can fully admit it's because I'm a sucker for a great bass line which Burn It has and also I'm *slightly* obsessed with the bassist Jaejin. Hongki's voice is absolutely insane and I love the contrast between his and Jaejin's voice in their songs.
@@Killdeer25 Yeah Hongki's voice is out of this world and it's even better in their lives from their concerts. He is very well known for his voice in korea and japan but 2nd and early 3rd gen groups tend not to get mentioned as much by the international english speaking community bc they got into kpop more recently. Which is why you don't see 2nd gen vocalists talked about as much in that sphere (*cough* Yoseob *cough*)
Nice! FTIsland is the group I am currently getting to know better this month. 😊 I agree, I love their dramaticism and performance. I've always preferred rock with a dramatic vibe and a charismatic front man. And Hong-gi (sounds like Hong-gee with a hard G or even like Hong-kee, the G is actually a mix or hard G and K sound) is certainly charismatic! That said, my favourite aspect of this song is the addition of the bassist singing. He just adds so much to this song, which if I'm honest is not my favourite of everything I've heard since I started diving in at the beginning of the month. This seems very derivative of many things to me, it's only the second time I've heard it but I feel like I've heard it a million times before. Without the addition of Jaejin's vocals, this would be too basic for me. But I really liked their other recent song Burn It and nearly everything I've heard so far has been great so it's ok that this song didn't quite hit the mark for me. The visuals of them playing in torrential rain was awesome though.
Say it loud Kristen and yes I have said it before as much as Hong Ki voice is my all time fav, I just adore it when Jae Jin comes in. I know I had recommended a few to you before but one of my guilty pleasures is Jae Jin's single Love Like the Films, its just so adorable and catchy. There are two videos of it out but one is where N Flying are "his" band (he had just come back from a tour with them when they were short a bassist) and the two singers Hwe Seung and Seunghyub were his back up singers but hadn't a clue of the words, cute and funny. Also love the live version of Future where he brings a very young Hwe Seung out to sing with Ft Island. All of which you may have seen before so forgive me if you have. If I was any good with this computer stuff I would be able to send you the links.
@@aligensa I prefer groups too, especially to watch. The fact that bands are tied to their instruments and have to stand there playing gets boring. I’d way rather watch dancing. But lately I’ve been in the mood for more of a rock sound so I’m dabbling a bit.
I think my favorite track is still Pray but yes! I think that this was a nice evolution in some ways, it feels slightly more grounded, but yes! the bassist singing is a nice addition, I still need to check out Burn it though, this is a solid start for a return regardless
