This version of the MRD Hi Nu is the best representation of the design in my opinion. Only thing I’m not too keen on is the metallic parts on it, but even then it’s so minor I can just ignore it.

I love this channel so much

I'm personally one who likes his mech suits to be slim and sleek, medium and well-rounded with slight bulk, and a compromise between medium and heavy with elements of high bulk. And the Hi-Nu Gundam is a great example of "medium meets heavy with elements of high bulk". It makes sense why they'd create this design after using the Nu Prime as its representation in Beltorchika's Children's first publishing: It just looks like a fantastic, slightly heavier take on the Nu Gundam from CCA. Also, since they're currently adapting Hathaway's Flash, which is a semi-sequel to Beltorchika's Children's version of the High Streamer/Axis Shock incident... Does this mean they'll adapt Beltorchika's Children to film as a remake of the original CCA and give us the Super-Hyper-Ultra-Combo-Turbo-Deluxe-Hi-Nu Gundam?!

I own two MG Ver Ka's with HWS systems and have just acquired the RG. I also own the old HG, not quite sure why you'd prefer this ones aesthetic over the newer interpretations...but each to their own. Looking forward to your RG review/build...wish you uploaded more. Also, a bunny update would be cool :)

Thank you for your review ! It's always a pleasure to hear your thoughts. I have this very same figure, and to keep it short, i loved it. Especially the overall feel and heft of the figure. Yes, its movement is basic, but the solidity makes up for it. Also, it has a great, strong presence. The very pure and simple (not simplistic) design really fits the Hi-Nu. I'm reading comments on this video, saying that the RG or MG Ver. Ka are the better design. But I don't think that it's a good point. The MRS is a representation of the Hi Nu, just like the RG is a representation. And no design can be objectively described as better. I mean, maybe i'm not expressing myself well, but this is an excellent figure. I also have the RG Hi Nu, and although I love that kit (both in engeneering and design), it didn't render the MRS Hi nu obsolete in any way. PS : I d'ont know where you stand on the bootleg things, but Effects Wing did a "copy" of the Hyper bazooka. Much much cheaper, and also probably lighter, making it possible for the MRS Hi Nu to hold it without using the stand (at least, it works very well with the RG-Hi Nu).

Welcome back Citrus! Anyway, what's your thought about the scale of the rg hi nu.

im still waiting for tamashii nations to make a new version of the pyramid formation for funnels like they did previously with the nu gundam side ms. IIRC, in some of the media the hi nu is in, amuro sometimes form a pyramid barrier to protect the ms while its about to fire its bazooka.

I kinda regret getting the cannon, even though it's just around 5k yen back then Bc the rg is just overall way cooler and cheaper

try wrapping the wire around a round tube like a bottle so the curve looks more natural

Ironically enough a metallic paint version of this figure was announced recently. Personally I am more interested in a KA Sign MRD Hi-Nu if Bandai ever releases the display prototype since I do not have a Hi-Nu figure.
