This band is hard mode for this particular challenge because Courtney LaPlante is the Hayley Williams of metal. She absolutely will write oddball stuff and force the melody to fit the lyrics.

Sleep Token is the first band I've said "this might be my favorite band of all time" since Linkin Park in the early 2000s. Only other band that has come close is Bloodywood.

Having never heard Spiritbox, I thought both of your versions were pretty solid. Spiritbox alternated between clean and screams which I think works particularly well for female singers. Her version communicated more sorrow and hopelessness. Your all scream version leaned more heavily into the anger and self-loathing vibes.

I watched this earlier, and it was a great job. you got super close to the original, but I am curious, if you hadn't heard the track prior. How did you get just the instrumental without the vocals? What I LOVE about this series is it just goes to demonstrate how a singular piece of music is vastly different with how the vocals are arranged and performed and still sound pretty damn good. Too many people focus on singing as a vocal range but there is soo much before getting even close to that.
