Let's check out Metal Slug 5 on the Neo Geo MVS. I captured this footage from my one-slot MVS and SuperGun, and used my XRGB-mini to upscale the signal to HD. I hope you enjoy the last Metal Slug game released on the Neo Geo hardware.

I quite like Metal Slug 5 but I do agree it's not as good as 1 or 3. Better than 4 though!

I'm glad this game removed zombies. I never really saw the humor in them to begin with. More importantly, they just felt annoying to fight. It would have been nice to see more interesting enemies though. Metal Slug 3 knocked it out of the park with the enemies they introduced on the final level, especially those brain robots that force you to jump through and over hoops.

The slide is the only thing I enjoyed about this Slug, even though it didn't hit certain things.

Need to get myself a Neo Geo one of these days but it's to bad they didn't port a lot of these games to the Neo Geo CD!

Entertainment Wizard Yeah they stopped supporting the Neo CD well before they stopped supporting the AES/MVS.

Hey my friend do you know how to pause your games on the neo geo mvs? I use AES controllers with it. Can you help me?

If you have the UniBIOS installed all you have to do it press Start and Select at the same time. If you don't have it installed then there is no way to pause as this was an arcade version of the game ;)

Metal Slug 5 is a decent game despite it's lack of content. It seems the developers went back to the original formula that made the original Metal Slug stand out. Unfortunately, paying homage to the original makes the game...well...unoriginal compared to the sequels.

Project COE Initially, I thought it was a complete rip-off. But Gunlord is a rip-off of many games, but adds a new twist with the graphics, sound and overall tight game play. So, I think the same ( hopefully ) will apply to Kraut Busters.

is this game hard to find? i cant find no copies on ebay?? where do you buy your mvs carts? as of now?? and do you know of any proce guides? like updated ones?? thank you. great reviews

+ALAN DORAME First off, ignore price guides. Games are worth only what you're willing to pay for them. If you're comfortable paying $10,000 for a copy of Super Mario Bros. 3 then that's your prerogative. Personally I buy my games on the Neo-Geo message boards. It takes a long time to get to know folks there and to contribute. I have never used eBay for Neo games as the prices and quality are often quite debatable.

Is that the forum right? Okay yeah i know what you mean on that part about what youre willing to pay. And ive gotten few carts off ebay and so far all legit with no problems. Theres few carts i want but having a hard time finding copies of them

Yeah those are the forums. As for the games being hard to find, that's sadly the way of things at this point. I've been looking for quite a few games and haven't found them. Don't forget that there's also the NeoStore.com that you can check out.

Yes i have checked on there but no luck finding what i what. Im starting off with what i played when i was i kid at the arcades. Which is quite alot of games lol. Im looking for top hunter, blazing star, shock troopers, i actually just bought a spin master cart last night. Also looking for windjammers, and prehistoric isle 2. Those are the ones i want most as of now.

Windjammers pops up often, but is in high demand so it goes quick. I got very lucky with my copy of Prehistoric Isle 2.
