@@JohnReavesLive they even wrote a song called pied piper telling us to study and stop watching their videos and analyzing their lyrics and mvs because our parents and bosses hate them HAHA
@@JohnReavesLive their old song is so deep n meaningful yet so catchy. Their recent songs now so easy listening n cheerful. I love both. Depends on my mood that day, they have all the type of music. They have song when i feel loved, desperate, sad, energetic, mellow, angry, lonely.
The rapline does majority of production and writing of their songs but the vocal line does have their hand on many songs as well. The vocal line doesn't just play the part of vocals too bc most of them are part of the dance line as well. They all work very well together 💜 The perfect balance.
I really love the style of writing they have and cant WAIT to see the live show of this! I feel like with this band the live shows are like a sum of all their work
@@JohnReavesLive I really enjoy live shows. 💜 You won't regret with this BAEPSAE live: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2PKLsshsuZo.html
The funniest thing is that with BTS often their most hype or silly sounding songs will have these sort of deep social commentary or political messages. They try and include at least one such song every album. It’s the absolute most ridiculous hype song live, they add in a lot of hip thrusts to signify the “swollen crotch” and …. It is very crowd pleasing that they are telling the people in power to Fuck off while aggressively hip thrusting driving fans wild in a political song. It makes me die laughing every damn time and this is always a top 5 most requested by fans song. It’s a great one to do early in your BTS journey because they use “crow tits/Baepsae” in other songs like “Not Today” (another political song that uses a quote from Martin Luther King, great MV super duper hype song). They also use the idea of the give up generation in the song Dope. Crow tits! Lol. They are so cute.
lol I really didnt even think about it in bird language until an embarrassing amount of time later LOL but I didn't know it had Norse roots, thank you for the info :)
1:49 I understand what you mean. I wouldn't say who is bigger than who, but clearly rapline is the foundation of BTS. A lot of their songs are hit thanks to them, including their in-house producers. They have the most produced songs among the members as well. All members of the rapline are full members of the Korea music copyright association while the vocal line members are associate members. If you see the tracklist for the new come back, even for just CD1, RM is credited 18/19 songs. Each member of the rapline has over 100+ songs credited to them. So yeah.
Great to know! and for sure wasn't trying to diminish their work on the songs by any means just felt like a very familiar song structure to me with the rap in the verse singing in the chorus and I loved it!
You should react to BTS Room Live. This is them singing snippets of their songs from various albums. It is only short but has become an ARMY favourite. You hear their live vocals and their variety of styles, just as a taster to lure you in!💜
Oh, "passion pay" definitely happens in the corporate world, but they call it "internship" here. Sometimes there's a small stipend, but usually it's unpaid and without benefits, in return for the intern gaining experience.
I didn't even think of internship!!! so yeah it for sure happens in the corporate world! I was thinking "surely we have laws to protect us from that." but na.... lol there's a loop hole!
the rap line does write most of bts' lyrics and do more production, but they're not a bigger part of the group, with bts we give a lot of importance to equality, so all 7 are equally important in their own way in earlier songs bts was a more hip-hop oriented group, so the songs were more heavy on rap nowadays they lean more into pop so the vocal line actually has more parts now, although it varies a lot depending on the genre that they go for i think one of the biggest reasons why bts is so successful and stayed together for so long is that they know when it's a certain member's time to shine and they don't mind giving the spotlight away and not being the ""main character"" at that moment, because **there is no main character** like, RM has written a lot of iconic solo songs for other members and he just gives them to the others cuz he knows it's gonna fit them and because they are a group, you know what I mean? you're probably gonna see it in the future, but he wrote singularity for V and serendipity for jimin, which are staple songs for these members, for example also, it's not only about songwriting, there is also the dance line, which is jhope, jimin, jungkook and V, they also have a big role in the group and sometimes have break dance when they get the spotlight Jin and V are also actors, and they have been crucial to the bts universe, for example another aspect of bts a unit, almost every kpop group that I know does individual sponsorships for members, meanwhile bts only does sponsorships or partnerships with all seven members together I believe that creates a much more healthy relationship and environment between the members, they also even shared social media accounts, it's only of 2021 that they first got individual instagram accounts, which was revolutionary for the fandom I mean, we could name this and that member but it is as I said, every member is essential and there is no bts without any of them this is the attitude we call being OT7, loving all seven members equally :)
For real I love that about the band how they stick together and really work for the betterment of each member, I remember some of the older bands I was in, when I got a sponsorship I made sure it was for both me and my other guitarist (I play guitar and sing) so if it was a guitar thing, we both benefited from it!
Korea's passion pay is similar to internships in the US. I live in a busy & big city in California and what BTS is singing about is describing where I live.
they have a lot of these types of songs and that's why I love them, when they made this they weren't even that big, and even their first debut song is about the hopes and dreams of the younger generation, encouraging them to not mold ourselves into what society wants and expects us to be. I highly recommend: - spine breaker (with DKDKTV explanation) -strange by Agust D(Suga) ft RM -Am I wrong -Spring Day -UGH by rapline (with DKDKTV explanation) -14045 by Agust D (suga) from his 2015 mixtape
Thank you so much for the suggestions! and honestly I love that they wrote a song telling the younger generation you can make it past all that, and then they DID! makes this song even better!
@@JohnReavesLive it is! you got it all right! I hope you enjoy seeing their content like we all do and perhaps even learn a thing or two just like we did on some point of views they've covered! I'm excited for you :)
Crowtits! We don't mind long videos if it's BTS. Hope you'll react to them more, like the whole group, because they're all uniquely good. I like how you get to react to the explanation. Most of BTS' songs ,when you hear it's fun like their B-sides, such as Go Go, Am I wrong, Anpanman but, it has a deeper meaning.
All of those B-sides are on the list, I promise!! And I've got a vocal line & full group song lined up for him next and then some intro vids! Thanks for the suggestions!! 💜
Since they started out being a hip hop group most of the songs were rap heavy but as they have changed their sound throughout the years, the rapline and vocal line have a good balance. Just as you've heard rapline only songs, there are also vocal line only songs and there are group songs with the vocal line being more dominant as well. Check out "Magic Shop"
@@Kookiepookie2025 He did a good job, it's one of my favorites, I hope to hear more songwriting and production from him, dying for him to drop his mixtape.
Baepsae is super fun live and their dance practice for this is funny too. This word comes up in their song NOT TODAY. Also pay attention to N posadae explanation, you will need that explanation if you ever listen/watch to DOPE.
@@JohnReavesLive Hopefully, you get to see the live where they are wearing the black and gold outfits with torn jeans. It's earlier in their career, but it's iconic. P.S. They did this song in their recent concerts too as ARMY loves the choreo.
I think you have the perception that rap line is more important because you only checked out rap line songs in more recent songs, the vocal line actually has more parts than the rap line, cuz they're more pop oriented to answer your question, all seven members are equally important :)
I think ARMYs and ornithologists are probably the only people on earth who know what "crowtits" are... ;) They are the cutest birds, though, and ARMYs have a very soft spot for them...
Just want to put it out there that they actually were not a big band at the time they made the song. BTS have been fiercely political and bold since their inception when they were complete underdogs. They’ve repeatedly risked backlash and even blacklisting from people in power. While it’s nice when someone with a large platform decides to speak up about injustice, it’s all the more impressive to me that they did not wait until having a large platform to do so; they grew in fame and influence while making socially conscious music.
^^^ I totally agree with this! And honestly I had no idea they hadn’t made it yet when they wrote this! Makes it even better for me knowing they proved themselves right!
Rapline does most of the heavy lifting regarding creative direction. If you're talking about song distribution between them and the vocal line it's different from one song to another.
Crow-tit.😉 It's not really a long vid. Many Army watch one hour videos without problemes😄 You'll see it if ever you decide on doing an Award show reaction!! You will be mind-blown!! Asian Award shows are biiig, and BTS is putting a level above that!!!
Crow- tits ARMY does not mind long videos trust me. BTS have over 300+ songs I think people are giving you more of the rap heavy songs then the vocal one given the type of music you listen to. I am going to suggest Magic Shop has more of an even distribution of vocal and some rap. I recommend the live version with English subtitles. BTS are always better live so you really should check out the live version of Baepsae.
Heck yes!!!! Thank you so much for sticking around til the end! Very much so looking forward to hearing more of their full band songs and this Live! :) I'm such a fan of live performances!
Baepsaaaaae! Crow Tit!! Such a fun song but also such a typical deep meaning song from BTS. They delve into the relatable and usually never do “trivial” subjects - everything with BTS has a meaning. Good reaction! 💜
Crow-tits. I have been enjoying watching your reactions since I got into BTS because of the rap line. The song that got me into the vocal line was House of Cards. I am including a link for a live version with English subs.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TX_ozc6GtmE.html
Crow tits 😉 they use this wold few times in lyrics and if someone didn't get to this song yet, and explenation, is usually schooked "why crow tits", "What it is", so yeah you have this behind you now if you see it again you will know, actually in one of cyphers Suga use it, wow I can't remeber which one. In "Not today" they also say it, say to crow tits to unite, in this song they also "use" quote from Marin Luther King in lyrics.... Baepsae have great lives, if you are interested.
LOL!!!! glad you stayed for the whole video! and heck yes! I feel like this was a rite of passage LOL for sure going to do a reaction to the live show soon!! (this week!)
Crow-tits! Just love your reactions…..as a 66 year old metal head i accidentally fell down the BTS rabbit hole during the COVID pandemic. I appreciate your joining me in my dive. I don’t know what it is about BTS but I’m addicted…
:) for real thank you so much for sticking through til the end! I love the journey through the rabbit hole so far and love that Ive met so many great people in the process :) Love that you're a metal head too!!!!!
Ahh they have more vocal heavy tracks and also songs by vocal line alone without rap line, but also more hip hop it this style like you said that vocal in choures.
As far as this being rap heavy, Army tend to give a guiding hand to the tracks the reactor has stated they enjoy. There are so many songs that split pretty equally with all parts. Sub units of just vocal line as well. But since you've expressed a preference toward rap the majority of Army watching will try to refer to those songs that showcase a more hiphop feel. If you ask for a full vocal track specifically they'll help you out 🤣👌
@@JohnReavesLive it's pretty funny sometimes! I've seen another rap lyricist reactor see like 20 videos of the rap heavy songs and suddenly see a vocal solo and spaz out haha or one reactor asked why there were only jimin compilation videos and not the other members, maybe jimin was like the JT of Nsync 🤣 but army just noticed he pointed jimin out more often in the mv so kept giving those videos. 🤣 army has a lot of fun shocking people with what they ''think'' they know after 15 mvs. When you have someone who loves Butter era BTS but is then shown Joke and The Last 🤣🤣 anyway there's no wrong way to go but definitely communicate if there's a specific thing you're curious about. Enjoying your journey!! 💜 having a personal Army at your disposal is also 👌🥳
@@JohnReavesLive I hear you! I’m familiar with English/European birds called tits (blue tits, great tits etc- stop sniggering😂😂😂) but it still caught me by surprise and confused me the first time it saw it in lyrics - they also reference baepsaes in Not Today.
To answer your question at the beginning, it depends on the type of song. If it's more melodic and vocal-heavy, then the vocal line is more prominent (songs like 'paradise' or 'life goes on') but the hype songs and more hip hop heavy songs will have more of the rap line taking the lead. Hope this helps.
i just binged all of your bts reaction and i love all of it, you are so well-spoken sir, and your curiosity is entertaining too.. its always fun to discover bts again and again with new reactors..💜💜 edit: i subscribe to your channel too, hehe..
I saw that!!! for real thank you so much!!!! ^^^^ Megan has a massive and growing spreadsheet that she's making for all the comments and we're for sure working our way through them :)
It honestly depends on the song really. If the song is a more hip hop heavy song, you'll notice the rap line more and if its let say a more melodic song, you'll notice the vocal line more. And as you might know, they have a very wide range of genres, so everyone gets their time to shine i would say. hope you can do the live version of this coz its lit! I really enjoyed this reaction :)
crow-tit 🔥 really admired that u start ur bts journey the best way in my opinion (watched ur outro tear reaction vid and then on to the rapline's bad ass' unit pieces and then to the vocal line's heart wrenching performances) 👍🏼lyricism, poetry, wordplay and being candid with their life struggles and victories are one of the strongest foundation reason why bts have the most loyal fan base (and of course the other one is their open/obvious and sincere love for each other and army)... check out 'AM I WRONG' lyrics vid and live performance ul be in awe but also with 😃 😊 ur face 💜💜💜
:). I can't wait to hear it!!! and thank you so much Faith!!! really working on paying a ton of respect to their art and learning more about them with each video!
I'm sure you've heard this already lol but there are rapline songs, and songs with just the vocal line, subunit songs etc. I prefer the rapline but one of my favourite BTS songs is The Truth Untold, which is just vocal line, and another is Jamais Vu which only has Jin, Jungkook, and J-Hope on the track, while my favourite soloist is probably Suga/Agust D. Rapline plays a big part is some of their biggest songs (by biggest I mean ARMY favourites like Anpanman, not their English singles that blew up like Butter and Dynamite lol) and most of the production, but they all have their hand in producing and writing to some extent, while Suga and RM probably take the cake. Jungkook likely has the most lines out of anybody for OT7 songs though bc he's the main vocalist. Sometimes the rappers are on the song but all you hear is a "yeah," or "uh," pretty much lol so nobody really shines more than anybody else. You'll have to get a better idea by listening to their albums. Or just watch some music videos... I'd start with Blood Sweat and Tears, Black Swan, Save Me, ON Kinetic Manifesto
ohhhhh!!! I'm honestly really stoked to hear more of vocal line just to know more about their range and stuff! I think Megan has those on here spreadsheet, if not I'm sure shell add them!!! for real thank you for the suggestion and the info :)
Yes, this continues to be relevant today. Not that it was just as hard, because S.Korea, at least at the time, it was like oppression. The president at the time was not impeached yet.
Crow tit. 🤣 They weren't that big when this song was written and it was kind of a risk, which makes it even cooler. BTS has a depth that has been lacking in entertainment for a while. Enjoy the rabbit hole. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Not only they have good musics but Bunch of their songs really have deep meaning and very relatable for us, that's why they're become bigger and bigger as more people know them. Even some of their haters finally become their fans when they finally know BTS well, it's me, one of them 😂

I was here until the end. If you like Suga like I do checkout his mix tape under the name AGUST D . He has same amazing stuff. RM also has 2 solo mis tapes and j hope has one too
Ok, the lyrics video totally messed up this one part at 6:07 . The actual lyrics are: (We’re the try-hards/crow-tits/Beapsea) we meet your expectations. (We’re the try-hards) we’ve earned that name. (We’re the try-hards) let’s all just get together. (We’re the try-hards) try-hards.
you should react to your eyes tell by bts. it is a more vocal heavy song and was produced by the vocalist JUNGKOOK. lyric video link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ubEjbUwEnSw.html live performance: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YAXDiCL5v1c.html
Bruh please it's a request keep your reaction screen Bigger and not the one with color coded lyrics coz we already know who's singing. We are here to watch your reaction 😂😅 I mean I am not being rude just an advice. I love your reactions though. I've watched your few reactions on bts rapline and am liking it. Also if you would like to watch their live stuff then please watch BTS mma 2019. You'll love it. It's freaking awesome
For sure taking your advice! hopefully will have a new screen layout this week with the reactions coming! I really appreciate you checking out my content and reactions! I'll keep improving promise! stoked to check out that Live show!
I was noticing in the DKDKTV vids (even when watching them separately) that the speakers pieces are quieter than the music pieces in it, but we’ll work that out for sure!
I really love watching your reactions BUT YOUR VOLUME TO VIDEO YOU ARE WATCHING IS SO RIDICULOUS. YOU ARE SO LOUD & VIDEOS ARE SO SILENT. It’s a pain to change the volume the whole time. Come on man, get her done.
Vocalists and rappers are like the perfect balance yes rappers has higher credits on writing and producing but Vocalist did write Nd produce masterpieces too also vocal line has 3 dancers of dance line also jungkook the main vocalist has such big role in making bts music he does guide tracks , adlibs , harmonizing, replace if someone is sick etc he does this for both vocalists and rappers
Your BTS journey is perfect, just in time for their most anticipated comeback.. Anthology album will be dropping on June 10 and I hope you react to it because I love all of the old songs included and super excited for the new tracks. I am itching with excitement on this one for real...💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You are so far listening to heavily base hip hop songs of them, in those obviously the rap line is the one leading... there's a lot of songs where no one leads, and a lot of songs where the vocal line leads and the rap line has only a few lines.. is normal, no one is bigger, you would see the more songs you know
Dope MV is recommended. If there's a official music video with english subs, it's actually the best video to react to. If none, then that's when you will look for a lyric video. And for me, as someone who's fond of watching BTS reactions, explanation vids are not really necessary on 'some' of their songs unless it has culture preferences or it's too deep, like Spring Day, Ddaeng, UGH, etc. But it's still up to you. I know you like meaningful songs and you really want to know the meaning behind it. ARMYs are going to watch till the end. 💜 This is just a suggestion. Don't get me wrong. Follow your heart :)
:) heck yes! for real thank you! I'm going to for sure watch some of the actual MV I think they put a ton of work into them so I would love to see what those look like :) I'm just a huge lyric nerd lol so the explanation video just help me really get into the songs more, but I agree there's probably some I dont need an explanation to :) thank for the suggestion!
The way Hoseok's hidden vocals in the first part is the craziest part for many of us. Since I heard the audio only of the hidden vocals, nothing has been the same. Don't do it lol
11:25 angel, that IS the same 🫂 BTS got lucky to get slots for earlier shows AND at their expense and time. It's the same. It finally got to a point where Suga said that the system or "the status quo" isn't really beneficial to the artist because they spending hours and hours being at these shows. The last straw was atvthe height of covid-lockdown when they decided that these shows aren't even worth it because the people they make their art for couldn't even be present so they stopped going because .. dun dun dun... these shows are exploitative and has low return for artists. 🔥
@@JohnReavesLive Thanks. XCeleste: THIS IS BTS Introduction to BTS
Maybe not your style 🤷♀️but the song your eyes tell live is a beautiful song that has all seven members and really showcases how amazing they sound live. Magic shop is also a great live for whole group that really shows army involvement which I personally love. Anyway, just found you and love your open mind and genuine reaction. Welcome to the rabbit hole! It’s deep, so take your time. Side note; all seven members sound better live imo…I’ve yet to find a song i don’t like better live so I encourage you to check those out when u can.
ahhh, for real thank you so much for saying so I really do love to find something new and interesting so my reaction to it will always be genuine, lol if I dont like something, I just wont post my reaction out of respect to the art lol but so far everything Ive heard from BTS has been awesome!!!
I HIGHLY recommend checking out a live version of this song as well. As amazing as BTS is in the studio versions, LIVE is where they TRULY SHINE!!!! And always remember that they are singing/rapping LIVE WHILE dancing their asses off. :)
if you haven't reacted to the BTS rap line cyphers 1-4 I suggest you do. cause they are sooo amazing. the live versions hit hard. they have a live compilation version of the cyphers too you could check out. there's so much BTS content its insane lol. sorry if I'm chatting to much
Hey never apologize for talking to me :) lol that’s literally my favorite thing about making content is meeting new people and talking! I actually just did a reaction to all 4 cyphers AND the live melody! Link right here -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LFxdhxrkrhc.html
BTW!! starting from here 6:09, the lyrics are wrong. they are actually saying "(We’re crow-tits) We never disappoint (We’re crow-tits) We live up to our name (We’re crow-tits) Let’s live together (We’re crow-tits) Crow-tits" This video creator copy pasted the first chorus into the last chorus :/
You probably already have these recommendations but Sugas solo work as Agust D is amazing. For a good look at what they are like as a group ‘On’ Kinetic Manifesto is a must watch. Also Black Swan. Lyrics are amazing. I believe that in Korea the producer is also a songwriter so it’s impressive. Watching xCelestes introduction to the 7 members is a must watch.
BTS live concert performances are where they shine in all their glory. And this one is where they going crazy hype and aggressive. it makes this whole song come to life. It is fun to listen to it on record, but live it is unbeatable with its energy and tenacity. By the end of it you ready to throw punches and start kicking people ready for revolution lol
"Crow it." At the begining you ask if the rap line is bigger than the vocal line, in fact it will depend of the song, in some songs, like this one, they will have 3/4 of the song and some time they will only had 3 or 4 lines.
@@JohnReavesLive good Idea personaly I will recommend "house of card", "the truth untold" or "zero o'clock" You can alsow react to "film out" it's a group performance but more focus on vocal
for sure did the dance practice in a later video I don't know where the live show I saw was from but they CRUSHED it!!! hope youre having a great day Sandy!!!
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So the group was hip hop during debut. So rap line is vital. But vocal line shines too and they mix it up. But they might have more hip hop songs because at the core they love hip hop. So glad u liked it. Love the fact your doing a thorough review of the song. This one is so catchy i love it. They sang about a topic many were avoiding. They always rocked the boat. This was an old song. I don't think they were that huge back than. Actually another Army said that the song full name is both =Baepsae/Silver Spoon. Hugs.-NY USA 2019 Army 💜#Crow-tits
You are probably aware of this by now, but in case others are not: Baepsae was released in 2015. They were most decidedly *not* a big band at the time, and in fact were struggling against massive organized hate and industry backlash for being outsiders. They have always been unflinchingly and uniquely fearless in addressing social issues, government and societal critiques, facing their haters, etc with their music, even when they risked very common government blacklisting and other backlash. Their very first debut song was speaking out about pressures on kids and their generation not being able to follow their dreams (No More Dream.) They are artists and they have something to say.
