My cousin was a sex addict. He watched this show, and was fucking blown away by how accurate and real they made Angel. He loved how they didn’t hold back at all and gave a realistic, visceral depiction of what that kinda stuff is like. He spent late nights at sex clubs and orgy kinda things, and It’s all the regret, the humiliation and pain that you mask and pretend like you don’t care and it doesn’t bother you, but it’s always there. You try to drink and do crazy things to forget and take your mind of it, but eventually it fucking explodes. Back in 2014 he tried to kill himself, failed and spent a year and a half in rehab. He’s been fine for nearly 8 years, and told me to watch the show. Most fun and entertaining thing I’ve seen in ages!

Vivziepop have said that Hazbin Hotel have actually a more serious plot and lineal story than Helluva Boss, also is a musical (Helluva Boss have music, but Hazbin Hotel IS a musical)

the voice crack at the end is truly heartbreaking.

According to Viv, Blake walked into the audition with no credits and blew them away. I can't wait to see the whole show. Angel is my favorite character. While its not canon, I suggest watching Addict. Its another banger song about Angel. Just like with Look my Way, it was written by a fan and Viv loved it so she had a music video made. Also if you haven't watched the pilot, I reeeally recommend you do before you start the show. Unlike with Helluva Boss, the Hazbin pilot is still considered canon to an extent. The second half shows Alastor's arrival and how he gets involved. Judging from the trailer, the show is going to pick up where the pilot left off.

The fact that he had no idea how dark the video was when reacting to this song makes me so so curious what his reaction will be when he sees the episode.

That crack in his voice is part of his voice acting tbh, the talent of this VA in general being able to not only put on an accent for the character but also sing in that accent is just so amazing!

Dude if you like the lyrics to this song, you should check out Angel Dust's other song "Addict". It's from a few years back, before the characters got new voice actors, but seriously that song is AMAZING as well. Tackles a similar theme and I would highly recommend you watch it. Also, the actual pilot for Hazbin Hotel is also a fun watch, especially if you are going to be watching the full Prime series once it releases. Love your content!

I have “watched” this show at least 10 times in full however the first time I watched it in full (and often since) I put it on on my phone with headphones in and listened to it and that last bit of poison pulled me hard out of whatever the fuck I was doing and I litterally rewatched that song almost 5 times that sitting alone. His delivery is insane

Just for context if anyone is curious, its about a drug addict who died from overdose and ended up in hell, he acts like a little bastard but he regrets and hates himself for being a addict and being unable to stop The show is pretty amazing with a bunch of twists, recommend checking out Hazbin Hotel and Helluva boss

When you heard this again in CONTEXT -- I swear we saw your mind blow right on screen. BOOM. TBH, "Poison" deserves radio airplay (if that's even a thing anymore; I'm old). I love all the music from Hazbin Hotel, but this is the one that stands on its own: you don't need to know the whole story; you just need to hear the story it's telling. It deserves widespread recognition. It deserves a GRAMMY.

Dude Vizzipop has been one of my FAVORITE channels for a few years now and honestly since the very first episode of both Helluva Boss & Hazbin Hotel I've been completely obsessed...the QUALITY of literally EVERY song & every character & story is OUT OF THIS WORKD FANTASTIC!!! Imo HH has a darker storyline and lyrics...even though both tackle tough subject matters throughout, I feel like HH deals with deeper and darker things than HB.but both have incredible music and actors\actresses....all of the cast have PERFECT vocals for their characters!! From all of what I’ve seen for hazbin hotel, I think it’s gonna have a similar vibe as bojack horseman. It’s a zany wacky cartoon but deals with real life situations and emotions. It’s gonna have its darker episodes and it’s more lighthearted ones. I’m genuinely so excited for this show to come out!

I've watched helluva boss about four times now, so I can definitely say hazbin is likely to be even more in depth on emotion and the challenges of being oneself and authentic

It's an amazing show, with a great and deep story and amazing songs. Also really great characters all around. I love it way more then Helluva Boss.

I watched the entire season of Hazbin Hotel but have not watched Helluva Boss yet. Hazbin Hotel was absolutely phenomenal!

I had much the same thoughts about the song. Prior to Hazbin I hadn't heard of Blake Roman but his voice is phenomenal. He conveys so much emotion in the way he sings and he knows just when to let that accent shine through. The lyrics themselves are heart wrenching and anyone who has been through a nasty relationship they felt they couldn't shake may relate. The video that accompanies the episode I know it had a mixed reception with the pop style dancing and the reality of the situation being played side by side but that jarring unease for me only highlighted there was a long way from what Angeldust showed to others and how he felt inside. That there's a facade so thick most people don't see Angel at all, he's just this hyper-sexual mess who is constantly looking for the next high when he's really just fronting that he wants to be where he is or he has to let everyone see how powerless he feels. It's so rare that this gets seen in the media, even briefly when it comes to men. To have a nuanced character that has a complex emotional response to trauma is so refreshing. And this may confuse people, his responses aren't consistent but anyone who has been there knows some days you cope better than others. Some people set you off more, or sometimes it's all shut down tight but a lack of sleep, poor health, a knock to self confidence, a drink etc. can see it all spill out. And sometimes it's easier to give in. And that they're all valid responses. There is no one way that we all deal with what comes our way. I hope this show goes on for a long time and they continue to tackle big feelings and write kickass tunes. And I so want to give Antony a hug and Valentino a swift kick to the not-so-happy sacks.

It may be a rock song, but fuck me, it's metal lyrically. How heavy is this man? Life long Metal fan here and this is an utter banger. Blake has an amazing voice and absolutely kills Angel. Apparently Blake and Joel Perez are really close friends and are always apologising to each other for what they need to do and say ;-) It's defo a heavier series, but it's also so hilarious and heart warming. SIR PENTIOUS FOR THE WIN!

My only problem with the show and Helluva Boss's recent season is how fast-paced it is. It races through moments of pathos and reconciliation so quickly that it would hit harder if we were given more time to sit with these very serious and deeply emotional moments.

One interesting difference between Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss is the differing focus on the denizens of Hell. In Helluva Boss, we're mainly dealing with individuals native to Hell. They were born there, and did nothing to "earn" a place in it. They are a literal representation of paying for the sins of the father. This isn't the case for Hazbin Hotel, as with the exception of Charlie and Lucifer (possibly some angels or kings of Hell), we're dealing with characters who had human lives, but were condemned to Hell as a result of their actions, not anyone else. This means that we are dealing with a cast who has already been judged for their lives...and found wanting. We saw in the pilot that many appear to have given up on redemption, and just want to make the best of eternity...often in a completely selfish way. This kind of setup doesn't lend itself to the varied arcs that we've seen...at least not initially. I am so looking forward to this show, but given where things are in Helluva Boss, I'm really waiting for its next episode.

In my mind I always think of hazbin hotel and helluva boss as opposites in a way, I mean their both similar in many aspects but helava boss is more comedy based with some dramatic parts in my mind whereas hazbin hotel is heavily story and drama baced with some comedy thrown in.

Helluva Boss focusses on the imps and demons that were born in hell and all of it's seven rings. We follow Blitz's life in this show and the demons he associates with. Hazbin Hotel will be about the sinners. In other words, the denizens who were once human and died before ending up in hell. It will most likely revolve around the Pride ring, the living world and heaven because sinners are stuck there unless they receive redemption. A goal Charlie (Lucifer's daughter) is trying to achieve before another annual extermination takes place and wipes them out. The sinners are there as punishment for their sins after all. I think the tone will be similar to HB. The same mix of comedy and drama.
