I agree so much, but also the newly added part where presumably Armins perspective is embedded too, where it shows how much he cares and thinks that he is part of the reason all of this happened, saying him and Eren should shoulder the sins together, I just love this show and I love this song and I am not ready to see aot go

@@degenerave I don’t about that because Mikasa is the one who said in last episode “let’s us share your sins together” But either way if that Mikasa or Armin is still very beautiful song man

This MV genuinely made me teary eyed and super emotional! I swear SiM has really nailed the emotions the final episodes have in both their songs. Personally, Under The Tree is my favorite between it and The Rumbling. Super awesome, nice reaction.

“If i lose it all” - I love the reference to "Rumbling". It's Art. Overall - the Rumbling is from Eren's point of view while the Under the Tree is from Mikasa's. Those songs are as important to the story as all the other things. 🔥 🔥 🔥

its eren speaking to mikasa and her responding to him, alot of the tracks that have vocals in them are eren to mikasa or mikasa to eren. one nobody mentions is name of love I believe.

Dude. For real. There's a reason these guys top charts for a bit with The Rumbling. I was really hoping for one more song from them , from Armins perspective. But Linked Horizon technically ending the series was great too!

You can see the "if I lose it all" part as a tribute to the Rumbling song too, but if you think about it lyrically, The Rumbling is from Eren's perspective and Under the Tree is from Mikasa's. So it's like when Eren says "if I lose it all", Mikasa replies: "I'll be waiting for you under the tree"

the thing i love is that it doesnt feel like theyre trying to recreate the magic of rumbling; it feels like its the other half of rumbling, like under the tree and rumbling were both in conception before the success of rumbling even started

It's not that they enjoy AOT (I mean they probably do) that their using the anime visuals; this song was created FOR aot, it's literally explaining POV of eren & mikasa on Rumbling & Under the tree. Even anime onlies don't understand the meaning of some of the lyrics still

They've known (and really enjoyed) AoT (both manga and anime) very well. And as mad respect for the previous seasons' tracks, they've even put in strings and chorus, while leaving their signature all over both songs.

The lyrics are just top tier. They aren't super cliche but still have affliction to what is happening in the show (either overall or at current time). They aren't just cliche Anime lyrics ("we'll win together" "Lets us find the light" etc etc etc..). my dumb ADHD brain listens to songs 1 million times and gets sick of them but The Rumbling and Under the Tree haven't remotely gotten old to me.
