Metal Vocalist First Time Reaction - TOP 20 HARDEST BTS DANCES 

Important to point out that this list not a "best dances", it's hardest, meaning it's the most intense, draining, confusing dances. O.N. is said by the BTS members themselves to be the hardest choreo they've ever done bc it's so draining, there's sharp, demanding and fast movements throughout the entire song, only JK's bridge give them a bit of a break. Other songs are hard bc of formation changes happening every 2 seconds like Blood Sweat and Tears, Fake love, idol, Spring Day. Others bc the footwork is hard like dope or RUN. Black swan bc the style of movement is very smooth instead of their usual sharp moves. And even ones that are hard bc of how dangerous the moves are like We Are bulletproof pt. 2 and Dionysus (they even had to make changes in the original choreo bc one of the members got hurt while performing it. Instead of the full body forward drop they started to just kneel down). I think my fav dance is Not Today though. Borahae 💜

as a old dancer and theater kid, I could tell how they dance so well and what goes into it, but then I'd have to kill ya. LOL. Save me is pretty hard, but my guess is Idol might be the most difficult. Run BTS is for sure the most difficult. Because of the large muscle groups used all the time, not much time for recovery. I wonder if this video was put together before the Busan concert?

I think Run BTS would be at least #2 if not #1 now. And Jimin absolutely hates that portion of the Fire choreo. 🤣 They actually tease him about it lol.

Hands down 'ON' is #1, even the guys talked about how difficult the choreography is. But as always BTS put 1000% into everything they do!!!

If i remember correctly, Bang PD used to check BTS's synchronisation frame by frame since debut nd thats the reason for the insane synchronicity... I mean it paid off obviously 🤭🤭💜💜💜

One thing that really impresses me is their spatial awareness. If you watch, they rarely look before moving back or into position. I don’t know how to explain the feeling when you’re doing it - it’s very cool. You just kind of know where people are? As a former stage manager, Dionysus gives me major stress every time I see it. So many pieces moving on wheels and so many opportunities for tweaked knees and falls. Not to mention when they used to do that front fall from a spin. I know I’m watching it long after the fact. I know they’ll be fine. Dionysus still makes me anxious every time.

Their synchronization is top tier. They are all amazing dancers. I can spend hours just lost in watching their dance practice videos. They're amazing. 💜

Whenever all 7 of them jump at the same time while dancing they are perfectly synchronized. It blows my mind how they can stay so in step with each other. 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Danger's choreo never fails to amaze me. I watched it a few hundred times at this point but it's still breathtaking.

Thank you for your reaction, John! This video must be pre-2022 because otherwise "Run BTS" would be in there somewhere. "On" is rightly on top there, it is so demanding and they move in and out of the other dancers' formations. I love watching their dance practice videos because you can clearly see the movements without the distraction of light effects/stage production. Like you I didn't use to pay too much attention to the choreos but with BTS their dances are so expressive and their synchronicity is just awesome. It is said that Hobi is so good he masters the moves after first seeing them from the choreographer; his laser eyes can spot the smallest error in movement. I love their videos where you can see Hobi drilling the other members, his counts and expressions to illustrate the timing of the steps is so precious.

Howdy there. I am a 50 year old momma,from East Texas; and my daughter moved to S Korea about 6 years ago. I will always hold BTS responsible for that. Lol. It's been amazing watching these boys grow up to the beautiful creatures they are. J hope is my bias I love your reactions to k pop . Wish you would react to some FT. Island please . How many hours did they spend perfecting these dances?? Well, let's just say that they spent pretty much all their waking hours in practice and also got very little sleep in the early years. Jimin lived in the practice room back then. They were expected to be in sync in every frame when they monitored them. From their debut onward, they had incredible synchronicity. Later, that relaxed some and they each developed their own styles, but they seem to always have been able to go back to it when needed. Jin complained that Bang Si Hyuk and Son Sungdeuk promised to make the dances easier, and then they only got harder! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I knew right off the bat that was number one. Mind you, Run BTS ( from Busan concert ) didn’t exist when this video was done. I wonder where it would have been placed . I would have put Idol #2 , and Black Swan #3.

I think the hardest is "Fire & Not Today" I like the pattern attractive symmetrical group dance. "On" video in Grand Central is one of my fav.

I would go with ON. Part of my love for BTS is their dance. Not sure where Run BTS would fall, it may take first now. Enjoyed the dance video, thanks.

In one of the interviews, one of them said that the most difficult choreography was in "On" and "Idol". I think it was Jungkook who spoke.

Loved this compilation of the dances but man! it's really hard, I wouldn't dare to give them a rating because BTS are the most synchronized dancers we have today. Always proud of the boys and their rendition. They never disappoint.

we must not forget that for years Suga danced with a very painful shoulder...that's why he didn't really want to dance at the beginning even though he loves it and is very good....he suffered in silence...these boys are an example for the whole world...we miss them 😔💜💜💜

I think "Fire" is way more difficult than "DNA" or "Boy With Luv" and also I think they missed "Let Go", the coreo is so beautiful and complex!

Jimin once said that the choreo for "Fake Love" was really hard for him because of off the quick pops; he said it's really tiering to do live. During the behind the scenes for the ON MV, they guys said "Idol" used to be their hardest, but now it is "ON"...

The popping always gets me. So hard, and clean. Especially Fake Love and On.

With the Dionysus dance, they changed it from them falling to the floor like in this video to just down to on knee. One of the guys hurt his chin or tooth. I can't remember what.

These "snippet" videos can be unintentionally misleading because choreo can be difficult for many reasons/different reasons. It's hard to get a deep sense of the choreo, its challenges and BTS' choreo magic from just 20 seconds. Use this video as a jumping off point and find the full dance practices to get full-blast BTS choreo magic!

Funny story…when my daughter was a poor college student she didn’t have money to buy her Roomate(a huge BTS fan) a birthday present so she learned the Not Today dance and created a video of her doing the dance next to the music video and after included bloopers and outtakes. It was a great present 😁

I agree with the list, but I'm surprised BTS run isn't on it, but maybe the list was made before that song came out? Because looking at the footwork alone in that dance, I would assume that one is fairly difficult? I'm not a professional dancer by any stretch, but I used to dance when I was younger. Run just seems super hard to me so it must've come out after the list was made 💜

I would have to say ON, but then it is an old video and they have Run BTS now which is on the same level as ON as far as being hard and intense. Now for my personal favorite...hmmm, not in any order but...Fire, ON, Run BTS, Not Today and Dionysus...the next 5 are Black Swan, Go Go, Anpanman, Fake Love and Best of Me...geez, OK, all are my favorite OK?? The Run BTS from the Yet to Come concert in Busan looks pretty hard. I expected it to be in the list.

I got the top three in order, whoo hoo! Suga said in an interview recnetly that the hardest for him was Black Swan.

Did you know that one time at an award show (I can't remember which one) the staff had to fysically stand under the stage and support the beams, because of the power with which BTS dances. Even the side stsnds where the other artists sat were shaking. I think it started during their performance of "Fire"…

It's really cool how they can sync at any time. You need to watch bon voyage .. they are on a cruse and on deck just break out dancing. They practice for hours a day to do this so well. For 13 years💜💜

What i think would rank among the hardest is Run BTS. The choreo video is insane!

My favorite is ON for sure. The ON Kinetic music video was the first thing of theirs I ever saw. I don’t think I took a breath during that entire video!!! It also holds a special place in my heart since it changed the entire trajectory of my life!! My top 5 (no particular order) would be ON, Run BTS, Black Swan, Dope and Idol…..naming just five feels blasphemous lol!!!

My Top 5 would be: 1) Run BTS ; 2) Idol ; 3) Fire ; 4) On and 5) DNA… What amazes me the most each time is how synchro they are and how all sorts of moves from different genres of dance are put in their chereos… All the boys influences in a single dance 😊

That move in Dionysus where they fall was difficult for them, not to mention dangerous, so they ended up changing it to where they just sort of crouch down instead of falling on their hands.

So I say ON is on first place. 😊💜🥰 For me Idol and Mic Drop have very difficult moves. At the end you asked for the Top 5. Some dances have 1 special move I like very much. I can not make a ranking. I agree with the comment about "best" vs "hardest". BTS themselves have said that Idol was their hardest, but ON is harder. After the Map of the Soul: 7 album came out in 2020, Covid hit, of course, and they wanted people to be able to dance along, so their choreo after that was comparatively easy. Then, the choreo for Run BTS came out. This video only goes to 2020 or they might have that one as #1. I'd really be curious to see what they think of each other's individual choreos. Especially since Yoongi has some solo choreo that looks surprisingly challenging, considering that he's not part of the dance line. Then, there's Jimin's dance covers but I think that he's the only one that could actually pull those off, since he does a flip in the one. They really are all great dancers. I love how a compilation like this highlights that.

I'm surprised they didn't include the part of spring day where they arch up from the floor. I'm not a dancer so i might be wrong, but that always looked really difficult to me. Also really beautiful. The spring day choreo in generally is really underrated imo

Hi John, wow - dance practices - my safe place after a hard day, I watch those practice videos again and again. I think all their choreographies have something admirable in them, I have no BTS dance that isn't my favorite (On, Idol, Danger, Fire etc. etc. just name it) . But from a storytelling perspective I really appreciate Butterfly and Save me/I'm fine , the later being such a creative continuation of each other, really just mind blowing. And then there is Make it right and Am I wrong? wow...just wow... and finally let's talk about Black Swan and all the amazing extra dance they've created for it, I mean is there any ARMY in the world that didn't went crazy when JK lifted Jimin and spin around in the 2020 MMA performance? Black Swan choreography takes my breath away each time. The fluidity of their movements, the expressiveness , emotion and preciseness... A MASTERPIECE Ladies and Gentlemen

The puffer coat you are wanting is probably a North Face brand, popular in South Korea because of the cold climate. You can probably find it anywhere in the US, since its headquarters is in Colorado. Assuming you are in Nashville, I googled & there appears to be a North Face store at the Mall at Green Hills. But you should be able to find other brand-name puffers, it doesn't have to be North Face. A parka, a native American invention, is slightly different. I still have my parkas, as I used to live in North Dakota & Minnesota, the home of many blizzards that I remember as a kid, heh. 03/21/24

I think it needs to be updated to include RUN BTS in the Top 5, but I don't know when that video was made. That one was a hard dance for BTS also (the footwork is nuts). That said, can we just talk about the height they get on their jumps, and synchronized at that? Crazy!

I think it's the Tannies themselves who said that ON was physically the most challenging so far (the huge, wide movements, the tempo changes, and the scale of the choreography), especially the dance break. Damn even Suga hits so hard on that song! My top 5 faves tho (not considering difficulty) would probably be Danger, Not Today, For You (Japanese song), No More Dream (Suga shooting V's sunglasses off is ❤‍🔥!!!) and ok it's a tie between Spring Day and Just One Day. 💜💟💖 Though admittedly Mic Drop on that red stage is one of my favourite stages. As for BAEPSAE... No words. Just ❤️‍🔥

It's hardly possible to choose the best 5 choreographies because they are all so good. But I'm very surprised that "Safe Me" isn't in the list, it's my number 1. This is followed by "Idol" "on" "mic drop" and "fire".

I miss "Airplane pt.2" & "Run BTS" on this list soooo much.

They used to think DNA was the hardest, and then there's FAKE LOVE, and then IDOL. They said IDOL was indeed hard, but members have time to recover while ON is flowing steadily, like no recovery. So ON was their most difficult choreo for a while before RUN BTS... But for me, coz members have little to no time recovering in ON, so it's still the hardest for me...

My #1 is always Danger. High intensity thru the whole thing.

They are masters of their craft, every dance they give their all, please could someone advise me what is the song where the start by just moving their shoulders, evertime JK hears the song he cant help to move his shoulders PLEASE ADVISE

Son Sung Deuk, their first choreographer, built this amazing team out of two people who'd been dancing since Childhood (Jimin and Hobi), an Actual Child (Jungkook), two rappers (Namjoon and Yoongi), and the "Visual" (Jin) literally hired for his looks, sometimes as coordinated as an Excited Toddler who's genetically unable to gain muscle mass easily. Those last 3 did hours and hours of extra training, before and after grueling weeks with their brothers.

I can't say one choreography is better than the other. Certainly some are harder than others and that is what this list means to show us. I agree with ON being their hardest choreography so far. Black Swan is definitely the best second runner.

I would have 'On' and 'Idol' as joint number 1s because they are both complex and energetic. Yoongi must have been in a lot of pain performing them until his shoulder was repaired. Then, very close behind, is Dionysus which is energetic and dangerous with them dropping back into the arms of the support dancers, dancing on top of moving pieces of stage furniture and originally doing the full body drop onto their hands. Then comes 'Fire', which again, has a very intensely energetic section. They have always trained hard to get accuracy but when it comes to remembering a dance after some years of not performing it, then V is the one who remembers the most. What I think is amazing is how they can alter their performance to suit different venues and do some last minute changes. We are Bulletproof Pt2 is a tricky one to perform and I would love to have been there when the idea of Jimin cartwheeling (not the right term but I can't think what the correct one is) over a recumbent J-Hope was proposed. Then the hat trick to round it all off. Whose ideas were those I wonder?
