My Jeep mod days may be over. Been day dreaming about the arched set up and axle swap for awhile now. Single dad of two little ones my money disappears faster than I can keep up with. Lol Love your products.

MetalCloak will be at or near the top of my list when I eventually get new fenders for my LJ but I just thought I would mention that the need for "custom" bolts is a con, not a pro.

Appreciate the comments. The stainless steel tapered bolts that currently hold our flares to our fenders could also be seen as custom, or, for most, hard to acquire at your local hardware store. In addition, all of the black zinc hardware we use is custom... black zinc is not an off the shelf item. The point being that most of the hardware you get with many of our products are, in one form or another, custom, but that's why we happily help customers when they call to replace some lost hardware.

Okay, so I've been looking into this or Spyder to get something more durable for my TJ. I want metal and not the crappy plastic. I've noticed that towards the front and back end of your flares, they taper to narrower. I like a constant width when mudding. Yes most will sling up where the rocker is, but why do you have to tape it back? Why not just make it one width front to back? Also, what width to fully cover 35 x 12.5s?

@@metalcloak Would these fenders look goofy on a 4" lift with 33s?
@metalcloak

@@pralisk886 the fenders would look great... but the 33's might look goofy. ;-)

@@pralisk886 True 35's would be much better. ;-)

Are these in the works for the JK?
@metalcloak
@metalcloak 8 лет назад
+Justin Perez Are you referring to the style or the width? The Overline Fenders for the JK, have a removable 6" flare that gives you an 8" fender. We are considering other sizes.
@justinperez3893
@justinperez3893 8 лет назад
+Metalcloak Actually kind of both but mainly the width. I am deciding between 37" or 40" tires on a 2 door JK build with your 3.5 inch game changer lift as well as mopar dana 60 axles. I want to avoid rubbing and am worried that with the proper backspacing, the wheels will stick out past the flares. This will be a DD so I want it to be street legal and safe.
@metalcloak
@metalcloak 8 лет назад
+Justin Perez Street legal depends on where you are in the country. 37 x 12.50's will give you a good stance but still have good coverage with our Overline system. But, going to 40's will probably mean 13.50 or 14.50, depending on the tire, which will definitely look good, but have that bulldog wide stance.

+Metalcloak I am mainly trying to have the wheels covered by the fenders while on the road to prevent kicking debris at cars behind me. The standard 6" flare should do fine with 37 x 12.50's spaced far enough out to not rub on the frame or fender as well as your game changer lift? does it matter if i go 2.5 or 3.5 inches?
@pralisk1593
@pralisk1593 5 лет назад
Whats the tire width?
@metalcloak
@metalcloak 5 лет назад
In that video, on the TJ, are 37" 12.50's on Raceline wheels with 4.5" backspacing.
@Foof50
@Foof50 Год назад
@@metalcloak so 4.5 extra inches sticking out from stock spacing right? So 6" should cover the wheel at stock spacing?
