No this is not boring at all. I just want you to know them beforehand. Really love your reactions. Thank you for giving attention to LOONA. Btw you don't have to like all their music. You might not like certain sounds of them and that is okay.
The "mastermind" behind Loona's story was Jaden Jeong and people mostly picked it up from MV descriptions at first, but Loona also had some events in Korea called Cinema Theory where they talked about some more details ^^
@@daejidiahjae Anything specific? There's kinda a lot that was going on there, best to check this for the list - loonatheworld.fandom.com/wiki/LOONA_Cinema_Theory:_Up_%26_Line You can also search "180317 cinema theory" here for some subbed vids of it ^^
I love how much you listen to people's requests^^ thank you for diving into Loona, it's definitely not easy to do since there's just so much information out there. You guys are awesome!
I did struggle to hear you a lot of the time :( But thank you for the Loona reaction and the support for them! They’re such a unique versatile group and trust me .. when you get invested in the Loonaverse you won’t go back
I'm stoked for you guys to delve into the lore. I just got into LOONA around the same time as yall. It's been pretty satisfying. Lore aside, all the other elements (music, choreo, cinematography, memes) are stellar as well. I know yall will agree. Enjoy.
One thing you'll notice about loona fans in particular is that a lot of us (not all of course, but loona seems to draw us in lol) are part of the lgbtq+ community and loona has lots of empowering songs and even a few mvs with obvious lgbtq+ themes, specifically there are a few mvs that portray lesbian couples or a girl having a crush on another girl which is pretty much taboo in Korea but they're out there doin it lol and again, even though I'm sure a ton of people have said it already, thank you guys so much for taking the time to look into our girls with such care and dedication when you could have just as easily glossed over it all and watched the mvs without going into their whole back story and what makes us love them so much and what makes us dedicate so much time to the loonaverse and these girls 💙 thanks for all you do, looking forward to more 💙💙💙
So nice of you guys being engaged and showing this kind of interest and not just reacting to the main videos of the group, congratulations for that! LOONA is more than just a group, there's a lot of work behind as you guys probably already noticed. Good content! Keep going :)
The lore is kind of a bonus piece plus since a video came out every month it gave fans time between releases to analyze and try to form a story so that's why the lore is really dear to orbits! I hope you guys can still check out some of their solos and for the later half of the mvs daebak jjang (youtube channel) has some awesome theory videos that break down the mv and kind of describe the general ideas/theories that orbits believe in. (I think theres twinfish who does videos too but I feel like their theories are a little too intense lol)
@@Gusmcarthur i've seen a few people doing loona journeys like this now, and they tend to get stressed when they can't work out what's going on in the lore and that sometimes spoils it for them, so i hope you don't focus on that tooooo much and just enjoy it!
im an orbit but i found the whole theory is so complicated that i choose to understand just a few part of it, but thanks to your reaction and the one who made the loonavers video 💕 im here
thank you so much for doing this series!!! Loonas universe is so interesting and complex also their discography is just so good!! even if you don’t like the actual music their mvs are so beautiful and honest to god pieces of art you just can’t help but appreciate it anyways 💕
i love that you are diving into the loonaverse! during all of quarantine i have been watching loona meme videos and there are SOOOO MANY the loona content is endless
I'm so excited for this series!! Thank you so much for doing it and for taking all the suggestions from people into consideration! ^^ This video really is super well made to give beginners a good understanding of what LOONA is all about. The lore remains a tricky thing because it can be offputting for new fans that want to get into it but end up confused and frustrated when they don't get it, and that way might lose interest in the music or girls themselves. I don't want that to happen to you guys so I hope you'll enjoy the ride of watching LOONA's journey and all the music they have to offer. Without fully grasping what it means (the lore being vaguely presented and highly interpretable in any case), it's still really fun to just spot the recurring visual cues and themes and find connections between girls and videos. Can't wait for more! ^^
All member of Loona already in webdrama call "Wannabe", the series and stories of each member actually kinda relates to each member's solo tho. but when you say they should have a netflix series, im strongly agree. A show that focus more about their theory meaning not just teenager romance.
hell yeah!! it's finally here. that really was a lot of information, hope you guys aren't too overwhelmed lol. maybe you'll find out more about the lore and the behind the scenes to it in your later vids but the creative director, Jaden Jeong, created the loonaverse along with the help of the video production team digipedi, who have filmed i think all but one mv (heejin's vivid)?? Jaden Jeong has an amazing mind but he also has his head so far up his own ass that he's no longer LOONA's creative director. he took 2 finished albums of theirs, didnt wanna share for w/e reason :/. So as of now, the loonaverse is up in the air in terms of where it's headed as of their "So What" era. the girls themselves have mentioned it but also said it's up to the fans interpretation. im hoping BBC starts stealing orbits' ideas and adding on as i feel the story is nowhere near complete before they can move on from this concept. anyway thanks for your reaction! hopefully y'all figure sum out for the audio issue.
Really looking forward to going on this journey with you guys! I have to admit even I haven't covered all of the pre-debut Loona solo/subunit stuff so some of this will be new to me too. However I do hope that you won't be putting your other content on the backburner as you embark on this great crusade; by now I have a pretty good idea of what is on The List for full reaction videos, but there were also those ideas for streams (like a Queendom stream) and generally continuing with the b-side exploration streams now that Goran is back and firing on all cylinders!
After watching everything, you ahould watch the loonaverse video again before watching hi high.. it's just me but i legit cried just like when ppl cry watching infinity war avengers assemble scene lol... bc after all the years of build up they finally united... they truly made a cinematic universe
You’ll definitely want to watch the music video trailers from Sonatine on as well as read the descriptions! They’ll give story hints, sometimes big important details!
Hey I loved this video guys! But a suggestion for the next parts, maybe increase your volume and decrease the video’s volume a bit. It will be easier to hear you both!
one suggestion, turn down the video sound a little - it's a little hard to hear you guys talk during the reaction :o also, there will be a test at the end of ep 4 ;) lol
"they should have their own netflix show" NO SHIT BRO WE'VE BEEN YELLING THAT FOR AGES BUT NETFLIX DOESN'T DESERVE THIS ART THEY'LL PROBABLY GENERALIZE IT AND WATER IT TF DOWN
Loona can be... a little daunting to get into. You kind of need to take the group one aspect at a time because, as you even said, ‘it’s a lot to digest.’ One of the biggest pitfall that new fans fall into us over analyze the videos trying to “catch” things that link to the story, and in doing so, don’t properly appreciate the music itself, as well as the amazing cinematography. I highly suggest watching some theory videos to better grasp the general threads, because the story is oftentimes left open ended to allow interpretation, but the theory videos that analyze each music video will often help you find things you might miss, and give you a better understanding of how they all fit together. After all, the music videos are still meant to be interesting to the casual listener, so they try not to make them too obviously story filled, they’re very subtle in doing so. There’s even outside videos that were only released in Korea at special events that contain story threads, and the video descriptions, and even some Instagram post captions, all of it adds to the Loona lore, it’s a LOT to fully grasp, and that’s why you’ll have such fervent fans of the group.
Like the video said, many orbits make memes and edits so there are Orbits that have actually made Netflix show trailers/edits for each of the subunits and members! They are very well done and you can find them on RU-vid, Instagram, and Twitter, just search "Loona Netflix edit"! I hope you figure out the audio, that stuff can be tricky! I loved this video and I can't wait for the next!
By the way everything about the lore is pure theory, just so you know. You can make your own as you watch the videos. I believe Jinsoul is a villain, by the way.
igor No on both points. It’s not just theory as their MV descriptions and their website explains the theory, specifically of the Möbius strip. Not that they can’t make their own theories as they go, as it is open ended, but it is canon. Jinsoul has also never been portrayed as a villain in anything I’ve read, so I’m not sure where you’re getting that from, unless it’s your own theory.
@@hXbradshaw Well, i wouldn't necessarily call her a villain but there are some things that show she might be using whatever methods necessary to achieve her (and Loona's) goal. Particularly the "To create something new you must first destroy" patch and her dumping the betta fish in that aquarium which can be seen as an act of destruction. Add to that her link/influence to Olivia and how So What portrays the 'destruction' of the Moon but we do get a 'new' feather at the end. :-I
Also jinsoul forced choerry into the middle world by giving her a cherry only to figure out if they work (in egoist she is using the cherries, meaning that they are not exclusive to choerry)
A lot of the lore has been confirmed in one way or another, but a lot of is still is speculation. Leaving it open ended is what makes it so interesting, if it just had one interpretation, the fans wouldn’t care so much.
would you guys react to AleXa - Bomb (rock ver.)? AleXa is a soloist and she made a rock version of her debut song Bomb. She collaborated with the korean metal band Diablo, and it’s really amazing
I think the time has come to finally react to some Stray Kids again! Like "My pace", "District 9", "Miroh", "Doubleknot" or "Side effects". They are 100% selfproducing most of the time and they deserve so much more recognition! Their "producing/composing/writing-unit" 3Racha (which does most of the rap as well) is insane! Please check them out again!
I don't know if that video is included in your series, but Mera has a very recent and very expansive video about Loona from the backstage point of view. It doesn't include any deep dive of the theories or the music, but it's about the people behind the scenes and the girls themselves.
If you haven’t done so, please check out Ateez. They are a MONSTER rookie group with amazing stage presence. Watch their MVs like Say Me, Hala Hala, Wonderland and Answer...you won’t be disappointed.
If you guys like stuff like this, bts has something similar, their music videos and songs connect and they all have hidden messages and many many interesting theories which they never talk about so its kept to the viewer to think about what they mean its so cool!
