METALHEAD REACTION TO KPOP - MONSTA X - "DRAMARAMA" 

I did not expect this Im honestly so happy for Monsta X with how succesfull they became recently they are so underapreciated

-This was their first real hit in Korea but their most popular song is hero - the story line is about time travel and in the end the one in the car crash (jooheon) switched places with his friend (Kihyun), thats the main point i'm sure their is a much more detailed explanation but thats the main point. -Monsta x is on tour for their new album The Connect with the title track jealousy so i recommend checking out that song and the on album one destroyer :) - I really love your guys reactions and can relate because before i was into kpop i was into jrock so for me it was not as much the language but the genre that was hard to get used to but I really love it now.

I think Monsta X's best song is called "Beautiful", check out the choreography version if you're interested.

If you’re interested in a storyline from Monsta X, you should check out The Clan trilogy which consist of All In + Fighter + Beautiful. Although, I have no idea what the story is about but they’re good songs. Jealousy is probably my favorite Monsta X song but all of them are really good. Hero is a really popular song as well. Also, to answer about the “designated rapper” thing, most groups tend to have 1-2 rappers usually but some have 3 or 4 depending on how big the group is. Some groups have assigned rappers but they don’t rap at all. Every group has assigned positions including: Main Vocalist, Lead Vocalist, Sub-Vocalist, Main Dancer, Lead Dancer, Main Rapper, Lead Rapper, Sub-Rapper, Visual, Leader, and Face Of The Group (center/most popular).

A mini album generally has about 4-8 songs in it! Kind of like an EP. Since Korean groups have 2-3 comebacks a year it's hard to constantly come out with full 10+ song-long albums so they usually go for the mini album (or single albums, which has 2-3 songs in them) route - which is why groups have so many mini albums! Love your videos by the way. As a person who listens to many different genres it's really cool to see you guys so open to k-pop like this! I personally recommend f(x), who have not comeback in awhile but their albums are all really high quality! EDIT: For some reason I say 'usually' a lot here rip

new sub here btw - i'm old school grew up listening to Metallica, AC/DC, Sabbath, Nirvana etc and have been 100% into the Korean music scene for 7 years including K-Indie & K-Rock. I LOVE Monsta X, they’re really great guys. They were formed on a reality competition show, which was really intense to watch. They were the finalists and became the group Monsta X. IM (deep voice rapper) was actually added as a competitor mid-season to shake things up, so there was a lot of tension, but they’re close now! The leader, Shownu, used to be a backup dancer for famous idols before deciding to become an idol himself. As a trainee (under the company JYP) he had a really good reputation as an impeccable dancer. Wonho, the oldest, studies music production on his own. My favorite of their songs is Beautiful, and I think their best dance by far is Stuck. Dramarama was their “first win” though I think, which is why it’s so popular (a group’s “first win” is when they win an award for the song, so it does a lot for their success + popularity)

Im a big rock-metal fan as well and Monsta X was the first kpop group that made me fell in love with back in 2016 (not long ago but still lol) i think they have their own style and till now they are the only kpop group that i completely stan. Check out DESTROYER, that song its freaking amazing and also they have another storyline hehe THE CLAN SERIES. Thanks for the video guys, here a new subscriber 👍

Monsta X's designated rappers can also sing very well! This group is talented af and usually, they follow a storyline with their MV's. It always has to do with them as friends, rebels, helpers so on and so forth, It's not always clear but it is damn interesting! You can tell when rappers in a group really do know how to rap. Monsta X's rap line is amazing. Kpop loves to add rap in their songs but sometimes it just seems forced and out of place because some members are just told to rap even though they've never done it before. Groups like BTS, Monsta X, Block B, Stray Kids have one of the best rap lines in my opinion, the members actually do know about rap and write/compose many of their songs. You should check out Stray Kids, they are still really young but are so incredibly talented.

I'm just a casual Monsta X fan, so I don't know their music really well, but "Beautiful" is probably my favorite of their's. I can only imagine the request list you guys have is about a mile long, so don't get stressed and take your time working through it.

You gotta check out love4eva (feat. Grimes) by the "yyxy", the third sunbunit of LOONA & also its audiovisual continuation "one" !!! Musically isn't the best starter to LOONA but the 2 video are insane.

Yes! You guys gotta check out VIXX. they do horror concepts (or they used to, their videos are more elegant now). Voodoo Doll is cool. Glad you guys liked the song. The chorus IS cool, the harmonies are tight, it makes it sound so good.

Monsta X - Fighter or All In are my personal favourites for this group. They are a little heavier and the story lines are fantastic. I also recommend you guys check out Hologram Film - Return as it's a fantastic song by one of my favourite Korean Rock Groups. They have a great mix of New Metal and Punk with a bit of a Funky Breakdown midway through the song.

Everyone keeps recommending Day6 on your videos because they play instruments but honestly their music is still really poppy. I recommend FTIsland. Particularly their song Pray. A group that actually plays music, has a heavier sound, and the lead singer has phenomenal vocals. They're much more popular in Japan than in Korea because the Japanese like the rock sound more than Korea.

*The music videos meaning (what's going on)* In the video you see all the members timentravelling, using that pocket watch, in the dimension they live in time traveling is illegal but fans theory is that they are trying to escape reality or their tiring lives or to prevent bad things from happening to each other or themselves, it hasn't really been established if this is a storyline they have but that's what was going on. Many people don't believe it but a lot of fans speculate that in each music video they are in different dimensions with different concepts. Which is actually pretty cool to think about.

Yeah mini albums are like eps from like 3 to like no more than maybe 6 songs. For Monsta X my favorite song is probably Beautiful. And there isn't rlly a story to follow that i know of most of the songs have diff. stories or meanings. :)
