So just giving you some context, the song is about someone that becomes childish in front of the person they love. The video shows how much of a nightmare and just scary in general that can be instead of cute and shy. Hence all the stuffed animals, nightgowns you see babies/very young kids wear, literal bed of flowers reflecting innocence, hiding in the closet, and more.
The video has a lot more to it than that though. The main character is Chaebin - the other members all represent different facets of her personality and sexuality. It's about her coming to terms with all the different aspects of her very self.
I don't think it is about being childish in front of the person they love. Personally, the song is sygnifying innocence and purity of a virgin. And the MV illustrates the ruination of such.
@@AdmiralPenguin There's an element of that. Part of what constitutes 'child' in this case is synonymous with 'virgin'. The Korean title of the song is a word for 'child', the chorus says 'I'm just a girl/child in front of love'. There's definitely aspects of both in there.
I said most of what I want to say about this on Discord, so I'll just reiterate here how grateful I am to you guys for reacting to this and how pleased I am that you enjoyed it so much! The girls mean an awful lot to me and I'm looking forward to seeing you check out more of their stuff.
I'm so glad you reacted to this! This is definitely one of my favorite releases this year and I'm so glad you liked it. This definitely isn't Nature's usual style, I'd say typically they do more upbeat, cute, and experimental songs but this concept worked out so well for them! (I'd also just like to mention that LOONA dropped a teaser today and they'll be having a comeback on October 19)
So glad that you guys got to watch this and enjoy it so much! This has got to be one of my favorite concept/music combinations this year so far, I spent a very long time pouring over the meanings of the music video. The lyrics speak of feeling too innocent in front of their lover, that they are too naive to understand the true meaning of love. I took this music video as an interpretation of the violent stripping away of innocence that young women often go through. Much of the music video, including the title itself, centers around the idea of a girl at the cusp of womanhood. Much of the violence is done towards only one number, so I believe she symbolizes the "innocence" of all the other members, and how they are trying to "kill" the part of themselves that is still naive and innocent. Moreover, this music video has incredibly strong horror themes, and blood (heavily connected to womanhood as a girl's first menstrual cycle often symbolizes her "becoming" a woman), along with the idea of a girl on the cusp of growing up are often depicted as something to be feared. (IE, Carrie). My last thought (sorry for this being so so long!) is that a friend pointed out how girls in society are often cruelly in ways woken up or forced to become "women" when they still are just young girls. Either way, hope some of my thoughts made sense and added some things to think about for this music video! Thanks so much for watching it.
I’m so happy you guys checked this out like this video is everything like the girls slayed in everything, periodt ❤️❤️❤️💗💗 This is one of my fav horror kpop videos out there💗🖤✨
Could yall react to KARD. I did a search and don't know if you have reacted to their songs. Some good ones would be Bomb Bomb, Dumb Litty, Red Moon, and their newest Gunshot. Sorry if you have done one to any of the older ones. If so please just check out the newest one Gunshot
I waited so long for this reaction, I really like your videos, your reactions are my favorites! This mv is so artistic, I don’t know, it’s kind of weird to think like that, but the mv tells a story (with well-produced images), and they want to convey something, the music itself combined and it’s really cool to hear, in the end I really liked it.
Please react to Apple by gfriend!! Gfriend is known for using a lot of electric guitar in their music so you might enjoy it. Me gustas tu is one of their bests as well
Can you please react to Seventeen " Left and Right" and "Fear" I really want to see what you think of them, they are my favorite group because of their cool M/Vs and dances!
