But honestly, some things just don’t get any better. I think this is epic. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen the video and every, really every time my heart starts to race and I get goosebumps. That facial expression after singing the high notes. Wow, what a beast he can be. He then completely captivates me🫣. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. In my opinion, Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. This piece was written for the opening of the Olympic Games, so it was meant to inspire strength and to encourage athletes to give their best. The first time I heard it what inmediately came to my mind was the Rohirrim cavalry charge in Lord of the Rings. It gives you that feeling that no matter how powerful and strong your "enemies" are, you can just charge and run over them. In this official video you don't get to notice it, but in the fancams of this performance the change in his expression and body language when he finish the song and gets "off character" is amazing to watch.
