METALHEAD REACTS To BLACKPINK - 'STAY' M/V + Dear Earth PERFORMANCE 

Guys, I realize that this song (Original M/V) can be interpreted in a different way and apply to a lot more than just the stages of grief over a breakup, however there was no way that I could possibly figure all of this out in a single viewing so I decided to focus on ONE OF the possible meanings. As evident by the Dear Earth performance this song takes on a whole different meaning with climate change, and people who have experienced the death of a loved one can also very much relate to the song and original M/V. This is exactly what I meant when I talked about how multilayered this genre of music is, I am absolutely fascinated by it and this might be my favorite song by BP.

Imagine being an OG Blink and watching these girls go from trainees living in the dorms to dominating Kpop to becoming International stars to representing Earth for the U.N. - they have every reason to be proud, and their loyalty is understandable. To me, they're an example of how to do it right. An amazing group of women.

This is one of my favorite BP song. It's so beautiful and calming. Every thing seems soft, the colors, the set, their voices, the instrumental, even the way they are rapping is calm. It a sort of safety place, and I absolutely love it. Every thing seems destroyed, and abandoned like the city, the buildings. But they are here, in the middle, trying to calm yourself. And maybe to calm themselves and making them believe their relationship can be saved, despite it being toxic.

All the BP songs are open to interpretation, some of the ones for this are quite interesting. If you didn't realise it, Jennie wrote it as a trainee, and it means a lot to the BP ladies - there's an early concert in Japan where Jennie broke down as she realised how far they'd come, and the crown sang the lines for her. You mentioned your sister in one of the comments - what does she think of the group - might be fun to include her for some of your reactions to them, and other bands/groups/singers? The biggest theory among blinks is that in 'Stay', the four friends are dead. There's a sign that says "Dead people's stuff for sale", and another one: "Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens." Everything else you have to pay close attention to details to understand in your own way. Jisoo swinging on a skateboard, a car overturned behind, amd Jisoo sitting in the car; Lisa dancing in a hospital corridor, but happy; Jennie walking around a table full of alcoholic drinks, and around it, a lot of foamn, bubbles; and Rosé in a ruined place. This MV seems to be all about 'Playing With Fire'. I'll leave my theory here for anyone interested (click in my comment). 🔰

The Song itself: - Overcoming the end of a love (quite simple theory) - I heard Jennie wrote the song before she debuted with Blackpink, which is why the song means so much to her because of everything that has happened since then. That could be the reason why Jennie burst into tears while performing on the song and couldn't continue singing (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jlRO23pnKYA.html) - It could also be a song to their fans. Asking them to stay - Another theory is that the song was written for Lisa, who was about to leave Blackpink (and maybe the label). That could also be the reason why Lisa has relatively little text. The other three sing to her... The MV could mean: - That three girls (Jisoo, Jennie and Rosé) are dead and are been waiting for Lisa in the afterlife, without whom they are simply not complete. only when Lisa arrives are all four happy and dance together as best friends for life (the sign "Dance with me, I wish you were here"). There are many indications and hints for this theory in the MV. The oversized jackets from Lisa and Jennie, like from their boyfriends. Every single sign in the background, "Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens", "You owe me ...", handwritten on the car "I hope she was worth it", the sign "Dead peoples things for sale". The bubble bath with glasses of alcohol on the rim at Jennie's, the destroyed apartment at Rosé, Jisoo is swinging on a skateboard that seems to be attached directly to heaven and lots more hints. The lyrics match too. "Before the dark night traps me in don't leave my side". It's like asking someone to hold their hand in the last few moments - That Lisa wanted to leave Blackpink and them three ask and plead that she should stay. Here sometimes the lyrics doesn't match 100%, but the visual references are given. The pink balloons flying away from Lisa at the beginning, Lisa alone in the hallway, undecided between the sign "Black" and the exit. Daydreaming Lisa on the sidewalk trying to make a decision before suddenly seeing the pink balloons again and finally deciding to "stay" and join the other girls. Lisa is the only one, who is separated from the others most of the time until the end when she joins the remaining three members. When Lisa then runs to the other three, she stands in front of a large sign "It's a good day". Before it was daytime, but all the colors had faded. When she arrives, it is night, but now all the colors are bright, cause she made her decision and they are reunited. And also here the sign "Dance with me, I wish you were here". (Much of it also fits the other theory, to be honest) So many possibilities and each is, as Lisa would say "Bittersweet" (Blackpink inside joke). Absolutely brilliant song and MV. And massive underrated!

As someone who suffers from an autoimmune illness my entire life, I'm now 32 with a chest port and an ostomy and I've had infections that have made my own heart suffer. I fully relate to how you're feeling. I wish you nothing but the best. Take it easy. Rest a lot. Heal properly. Pack your favorite things for comfort and if you're tired no reactions until we get you back recovered. Remember we need our health to keep things moving so when life hits us with these sudden emergency moments where it's a bit intense...its a temporary situation that is meant to bring you back to us healthier and better. My mom always tells me when I'm in the hospital "quality over quantity". It doesn't matter how much time you need as long as you're taking care of yourself to be back as best as you can be. I recommend some BTS songs you should listen idol, mic drop, danger (one of their older songs) .. They debuted in 2013 and they were more hip hop and harder back then but changed their style a bit now but still produce bomb music.. They have 7 members 3 in the rapline and 4 in the vocal line you should listen to the rapline as a metal head you'll love it some of them are UGH, DDAENG... Story of STAY First the girls are dead except Lisa (the sign: heaven is a place where nothing ever happens) and there's another one that says (dead people thing's for sale) .....but as u see heaven in the mv isn't beautiful or perfect (sign that says: exit only) behind Jennie, this means that they aren't completely dead " a lil bit something like" (a line in the song) they still need to use the exit to be in a better place also Lisa (the part where she was wearing black jacket) she was walking on a crossroad (the bridge in her part is a way between life and dead). How did jennie, rose and jisoo die? Well u can see that rose and Jennie where wearing over size jackets that don't really fit which means that it has to do with love (boyfriends in general) their relationships were very important to them. Jennie: her boyfriend cheated on her, u can see in her part behind her was a yellow car with a sign that says (1 hope she was worth it) and the blue sign on the building behind her says (you owe me / look what happens with love) in her solo part she was walking on a table with alcohol and bubble bath (she killed her self in a bath after getting drunk). Rose: her first part says (so easily whisper in the mirror let's slowly let this go / you take me for granted) it like she's addressing this one person, rose was in a abusive relationship notice how the room she was in is so messy and the tv is broken and there's in her part some destroyed statues which symbolizes her body means the bf killed her by abusing her physically but she didn't do anything before coz she was so in love with him. Jisoo in one part she was wearing men's clothes, holding a skateboard, she died by getting hit by a car while skateboarding notice how she's sitting on the front on the car... So what about Lisa ? Lisa is still alive but on a bridge as a said so what does that symbolize? She's in the hospital, the pink balloons symbolizes her sickness .... when she said (this a letter from me to u ) she's basically going to die soon, u can see how she said her line while waking the other side, her other line says (before the dark night traps me / done leave me / don't leave today) she wants him to stay with her in her last moments. The question is why they can't use the exit and live in a better place? The answer is they not together yet, they're waiting for lisa also u can see how they didn't interact with each other at first even if they were in the same place it's because lisa wasn't there but after she died and joined them they started dancing and hugging each other, u can see some people wearing white waiting to take them to the other life but they didn't pay attention to them. Moral of the story no matter how imperfect the place they live in, if they're together they will find happiness, after Lisa joined every thing changed and the sad place is a happy place now they don't even need to use the exit anymore (to stay in any abusive or toxic relationship just becoz of their love ) ....
