@@linkinparkfanforever2728 a lot of tropical bugs are illegal to keep here. I'm not sure why. You're not allowed to keep dubia roaches here unless you are a zoo even though they couldn't survive the winters here.
Oh Nice!! Planning on going to my first BTS show this year and I have been excited to try picking up some of these. Hopefully I find a box I can buy and start up my own colony. Best of luck at the show
A few questions- 1-how many did you start with- 2-how long to get to these numbers- do you know where these are from-specific area? because they vary in color from china to vietnam being more green/or coppery/ oe even full copper but those are different kind -some can even be bluish
I started with around 20 nymphs and took me around a year to get these numbers and now there's always new nymphs being carried and have a second colony starting up. I believe all the ones in the UK originate from vietnam
Wow they are beautiful roaches. Did you catch the escaped cricket? I might be going to the BTS, because I might be getting a lift down there, just depends if this person can take me. Anyway, great video Phil 🤘👍
Hi! I've been trying to breed these but had a nightmare with the babies escaping! Did you say uou kept them in a critter keeper? Like the exo terra type? If so do you find that the vaseline is enough to keep them from escaping? I've tried so many different emclisures and I just find they keep getting out! Thanks 🙂
I love these cockroaches very much, but I don't dare to keep those that can climb smooth surfaces … 🥲. I have a little over 100 blaptica dubias and I want to keep them in a xxl terrarium with some plants & isopods + springtails 🥰
