What is the difference between a metallic gasket and semi metallic gaskets? There is no standard for semi metallic gaskets but from the presentation, i hear that spiral wound is semi metallic. I would like to know the difference

metallic would be a RingTypeJoint Gasket, where the gasket is 100% metal, for tongue and groove flanges. Spiral wound gaskets have often PTFE or flexible graphite in its construction, so it's not 100% metal.
