It's 99% accurate to the MoP-tone my guy. Nothing is ever 100%, but this is as close as you can get.

I always thought the E1M1 riff sounded very inspired by the song Master of Puppets so I'm not surprised that hearing this sounds very natural, like one of Metallica's own songs. Props on your production too, the guitar/bass/drum tones really sound just like classic Metallica.

The riff is the chorus riff from No Remorse on their first album Kill Em All. Starts at like 1 min 32s :).

@@joshshrum2764 I knew for the longest time that it wasn't Master of Puppets, but I still joke about it being Master of Puppets based, it came off of the Chorus riff (or the part where he starts saying "No Remose, No Repent") for No Remose, both sounding simular to eachother.

The bass! It’s like Cliff Burton himself descended from heaven to bless us with this gift! I’ve waited for a proper E1M1 cover in the style of Metallica like this for so long, this is so right and so perfect! Perhaps we can get one in the style and tone of Kill ’Em All? After all, the debate is over whether No Remorse or Master of Puppets is the true inspiration for E1M1, we need both sides of this coin!

@@hasangenc2922 Strong disagree. I love E1M1, but Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal had some absolutely banger tracks and even better gameplay. Doom defined the 3D shooter, and Doom Eternal redefined it decades later.

Oh f*ck yes! Around '94 I discover Metallica and Doom, they were very tightly bonded together then. I was playing Doom with my PC and background music was Metallica/Iron Maiden/Manowar from C-tapes. Ofc original Doom sounds were on also, provided by 8-bit SoundBlaster. 😎 Thank you, this is awesome!

That's awesome. I always wanted an accurate E1M1 cover with real instruments but one that was as close to the original MIDI as possible, this might as well be it!
