As a guitar player, i think the world would be a better place if the bass in every song in the world would be enhanced. Bass is the soul of a song, i need to hear it loud and clear. Awesome as always!
As an ex-singer for a local black metal band, i was happy to have a bass player who turned it up as well when practicing/rehearsing. He had a killer bass tone and he already also a experienced death metal bass player. Had an awesome time with everyone in that band \m/
Another bass line that's not the most technical or complex but played with the right attack sounds great and suits the song as a whole perfectly. Love it.
Hey Kello... love your base covers especially songs from Metallica's "no base" albums. Really makes me appreciate how talented Jason was when he was in Metallica. Keeps the videos coming my man!
Kello, if there was ever and bass player in the world and playing style I wanted to emulate, it is you and your style. I may not quite get there but the journey will definitely be a blast!
The attitude comes with experience. The way he plays shows that he knows everything that goes into playing the bass. New be's have to concentrate more and just can't get that yet but thanks to dude here they can see first hand how they should play it.
was good to hear Jason's bass on that album. Ive been going back and listening to his work..and the bass line that really is killer is King Nothing!!...
This is a Real Kick Ass Bass Sound, Really Amazing, it's such a shame that here in Brazil we don't have any Spector Bass in the Musical Stores, But great job Dude...
enter sandman isnt easy song frankly This cover vision is professional version completly he can understand this song's rythm perfectly in addition strong touch as metal bass
Hey...I just saw every of your covers...I just take my bass...and start playing...Awesome playing...Could you cover please DarkTranquillity-Lethe ....It would be awesome to see you playinh that...
A spector bass almost give that Black Album bass sound, it´s impossible to get it exactly right because of things in Jason´s signal chain during the recording, but pretty close at least.. :D
I know you're a real busy man with you're band and all, but have you ever thought of writing tablature for some of you're most viewed videos? God knows good, accurate tabs are hard to come by. Novice and apprentice level players (like myself) sometimes have trouble transcribing songs by ear. Even just watching you play has been a huge help by the way :)
Spector basses usually sound like that naturally when plugged in, although using Ernie Ball bass strings can enhance this (Keep in mind this is from a guitarists point of view and I've only played bass a few times)
John Martensen Just learn songs you like. Practice everyday. If you can get private lessons that would be great, but if not just try to play as much as you can.
no warwick im 99 sure ,,look like spector but ,, inlays i forgot where i ve seen them //i d bet on spector probably neck thru limited or signature ,, the sound is a hard driven spector too ,,warwick got other growl // well it s all in fingers mostly ,, SO I SAY SPECTOR /
Thank you for the swift reply. I appreciate you taking the time. I was looking to expand my pedal bord and you're tone is incredible. Thanks again, fortune and glory to you friend.
Kello Gonzalez you said "only" but was that "only" your DI signal? Did you use an amp as well? If so, did you drive the amp at all with the BDDI, or just the DI signal? This tone seems too good to come from just a BDDI direct!
