Funny how James always says "Hope I remember it" before playing Until It Sleeps, and half of the fails in the video are James forgetting Until It Sleeps' lyrics
Love the fails. It's one of the reasons why I love live concerts. Even the greatest band in the world like Metallica can make mistakes and take them in stride.
Catching these small, insignificant moments has become easy because so many people can now effortlessly film with their smartphones. It merely demonstrates that it's common and normal. No big deal whatsoever.
They are only human, yeah, that's what we're celebrating with this video! And most importantly, they play LIVE, not with backing tracks! We love how they handle their goofs. It's one of the best things on a live show when anyone goofs up and recovers. It sounds perverse. There's nothing like the suspense when something goes wrong and the following joy when they sort it out on the fly.
I love Metallica for that, fails and technical problems is normal thing, and when you have sense of humour, that would be funny moments. Greetings from Poland
How are the lyrics a fail? It’s their song, they can do what they want. Also, vocal coaches teach singers how to skip certain words live. Cypress hill is notorious for this technique.
@@alexandreh7065 Yes. That's why they are what they are even though they are a heavy metal band. Not all heavy metal bands get to where they 've got METALLICA. It's because of your discipline, they work a lot all year 🤷
they say the best parts of Saturday Night Live are when the actors break character, same thing applies to live bands, when they mess up it’s actually kinds fun to watch and even Metallica, one of the biggest bands of all time, is no exception to that
Failed Metallica . That's very awesome too . There are also any failures in concert . Very funny movie !!!………Sing🎤 with playing🎸 . That's very difficult . Wrong lyrics . That's no choice . 👍🏻………There may be " Devil " in concert . 😎
something feels off. metallica are my #1 band forever and previously they have never missed a beat in everything they have done. cinema release movie of 72 seasons was poorly produced and very dissapointing. stage set-up on tour is a disaster for fans by all accounts,...now very frequent mess-ups on stage....????
Metallica will always be a LIVE band, I much rather having all the mess ups, fuck ups, wierd shit happening, stuff breaking, voice cracks, string breaking then any fake shit! Metallica makes real live music and yes they mess up sometimes, that is life!
These aren't fails at all!!! This is one of the many things that make live shows so much fun!!! They roll with it, laugh about it, they're human just like us.
With the prices the "rebellious" (actually, conformist af) Metallica charge for their set, the show should be flawless. No need for unprofessional mistakes and bad equipment to know a bunch of musicians are "human just like us". They are, obviously, and that's no excuse to put up a(n overpriced) terrible show.
Oh, he has his days. The first time he performed Sleeps he goofed up verse 2. Plus one show I watched online he seemed to be off the mark for the entire show. :D Plus he pulls some of the basslines out of his ass - notably Puppets and Harvester - but I don't know if that counts because they don't seem to be too particular about it.
@@youfilin Quite honestäy, goofs are some of the best things about live performances. Metallica is probably the best documented live act ever. So it's easy to find these goofs. And these goofs are awesome because they also prove that they play entirely live.
I’d rather hear them mess up than them using back up tracks like kiss I feel like it’s more embarrassing hearing them mess up and hearing that their instruments and vocals were fake
It's funny because every band makes mistakes while playing Live but when it's Metallica, it's unforgivable! 😂 If you know a little bit about Rock music, I mean Rock music since the 50's, famous bands like Led Zeppelin or The Clash and many more were AWFUL Live! Perfection is not even in Classical music...Metallica gets so much shit, I fucking love them more and more each day! Since I m 14, I m 45...🤘🤘🤘
I was at the show where James messed up the lyrics to Until it Sleeps. I don’t think anyone really gave two shits, it’s the fuck ups that make them a great band.
fun fact, he messes up the lyrics in the original SNM version of until it sleeps as well and no one battered an eye. Maybe "so tear me open" just feels more natural than I'll tear me open.
So what exactly is this video about? shitting on Metallica for being older guys having fun on stage and openly admitting when they fuck up a song? pointless.
Hhhhhhhhhhh. Bands mess up all the time!!! That’s why we go to see live shows. Gotta feel the soul and the insensitivity. Plus it’s fun. RU-vid is for showing how people mess up. Lol. METALLICA!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I can't believe many of these are real, they were just having fun and messing around, it was probably part of the show, for entertainment - I mean come on there is no way a professional band can mess up THAT bad, I mean who the FUCK messes up Master Of Puppets of all songs - it's obvious to me they were fooling around or they were high as a fucking kite.
Let me tell you something...for anyone downgrading Metallica for a mistake here or there...1. you are probably not a musician...2. you don't realize that most heritage stadium acts on their level use tracks in their songs (taking out the random live element) and 3. so much of Metallica's music is melodically and rhythmically complex beyond the thrash riffs and even some of those are incredibly hard to play due their speed and syncopation. Metallica to this day is the real deal...what you see and hear is authentic. I can almost guarantee they are not using click tracks in their IE monitors if they even use IE monitors like almost every other live act does nowadays. I grew up on Metallica have and played in bands back then where you are in a room or on stage with just the musicians and the music you are playing and that's it. No click track, no backing track, no ghost players/vocals...nothing but you and the guys. So beyond the big stages and lights, LED screens, and huge line array systems...that's EXACTLY how they still play today which is much more impressive, immersive, and genuine than most live rock acts you will ever see.
