the part itself is awesome, but rob's bass tone is absolutely garbage, IMO. Too much distortion and midrange, no low end at all.

@@clamatac I don’t think so. Harvester, holier than you… are easy solo. I think he’s fed up to play them for so many years and try to change them. I think he still can play them correctly but he can’t create good solo anymore. It’s more a creative problem

@@locsbcn As a guitarist myself for 21 years, I believe Kirk stopped learning, and became complacent as a lead guitarist year's ago, around 2012 is when he started messing his solo's up more often live, and it's sad to see honestly. I want him to nail his solo's for himself, his self-confidence as a lead guitarist, and of course for us lifelong Metallica Fans. I started playing guitar because of Kirk and James Influence and Inspirational Energy in there music. The wah has unfortunately done him more harm than good at this point, it's like a crutch he can use, instead of an inspirational tool he originally used musically. It's upsetting to see him play most of his solo's wrong, and it's like he doesn't care, making those outwardly emotional facial expressions while messing up his own music. It's just kinda sad unfortunately. I hope he finds his way, my producer didn't really play his guitar for years, and he told me once he picked his guitar back up, everything felt foreign, because he did the one thing you never do, he stopped playing, and learning, and yes he said those exact words. So, I literally spoke from a friend's experience as to where he and I think Kirk is at, and we're both lifelong Metallica Fans. Take Care Man. Happy Thanksgiving.

They are currently working on a new album, they haven't quite started yet but James said he wrote a lot of music while in lockdown.

I've been a fan since 84 and watched him grow from Kill em All to And Justice for all and then rapidly fall off once he met Bob Rock. For about two decades he could not play what was on the album in a live setting. I'll be the first one to criticize him because it's been my favorite band for most of my life and he has certainly tightened it up like a m*therf*ker on this last tour🤘

I was fortunate enough to see them in ‘97 and again in ‘98, I was 13 and 14 (lol) first time I ever smelled weed in person. incredible. They’re the shit. And lucky me I got to see them when Jason was still in the band. great memories. I’m 37 now, would love to get to see them again
