Can you imagine how mindblowing it would be to wind up in traffic school just to look over and see Kirk freakin' Hammett? And then he plays a song for your class? Wild, man.
@@sanketdhembre5525 says the person who can't speak English properly or at least use proper spelling if you're going to call someone an idiot PLEASE check your spelling
@@bluehornet197 Where exactly am I wrong Mr Shakespeare? Besides failing to use a question mark at the end of the statement, I don't think I am wrong anywhere. U are welcome to correct me.
am I the only one who found this so cool? Look at Kirk, he smiles at the applause like he never had thousand and thousand of people clapping at him before. Good guy!
Reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Otto meets them and is like "You remember me?" then he holds up a lighter and goes "WOOOOH METALLICA RULES". and Kirk is like "Oh yeah Springfield 1991"
I showed this video to three people who don't know who Kirk is, and asked them to guess his profession. The replies... --- "Kindergarten teacher." --- "Clerk at head shop, or possibly a record store." --- "Some sort of beach bum..." I found those answers interesting. The lack of visible tattoos and piercings surely affected the results, but more than anything, I think those guesses are a testament to what a genuine personality Kirk has. If he's not the most grounded music superstar in existence, I don't know who is. I am 100% sure that *nobody* would be guessing "kindergarten teacher" if they saw James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine or Scott Ian doing the same thing.
He might not have a great voice, but he sounds actually cool when singing one of the older songs, can't remember which one. Also, when not inebriated, Kirk is extremely shy, so that is why his voice is shaky.
@@Prometheus4096 Tone Deaf? He's the lead guitarist for Metallica and you think he's tone deaf? Not everyone can pinpoint pitch with their voice like many professional singers can that doesn't mean they're tone deaf. He just hasn't practiced singing enough.
@@chasemiller7974 He is tone deaf on guitar as well. Listen to his vibrato. That is the reason why I found this video. People didn't believe me when I said he is tone deaf. So I searched for a video of him singing, and I found this one. The way he sings is just more evidence. Many people suspect that Kirk Hammett is tone deaf. Why can't the lead guitarist of one of the biggest bands ever be tone deaf? Metallica doesn't have space for the personality or the need musically of a really skilled lead guitarist. No band in the 80's would ever subject their candidate band members to a ear training test. And being tone deaf does not prevent a kid from picking up a guitar and trying to be in a band.
James jumps into the room and starts to sing: Come driving faster Obey your driver you will puke faster obey your driver! DRIVER! Master of driving, I'm pulling your van Twisting your spine, smashing your head driven by me, you can't do sh*t Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream Driver! Driver! Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream Driver! Driver!
at least, Kirk made the people laugh, and that is very helpful for the stress they're facing at that time, good work Kirk, I salute you for sharing your talent
Oh my days, Kirk's awesome level just shot right up. I died of laughter when I realized he was actually there because he sped, and a few seconds later I saw people commenting on his singing, and I'm thinking, how is this relevant..................then the Traffic School song............. HAHAHAHA omg kirk. Amazing dude, amazing guitarist, just about get away with outdoing Miley Cyrus on vocals. hahaha Keeping metal alive!!
why is nobody pissing themselves out of excitement that KIRK HAMMETT IS SITTING IN THE SAME ROOM AS THEM AND BREATHING THE SAME AIR AS THEM?? at least that's what I would do.. please don't tell me I'm the only one
Guys, can you just imagine this shit? Like If this shit happened to me in real life I don't know what I'd do. I got home to Mom or Dad or some shit and they'd say: "How was traffic school?" I'd say: "It was great!" "why? Traffic school isn't supposed to be a good thing..." "Kirk Fucking Hammet was there, that's why."
@@mnemic9564 Then how come he never learned to sing, or bend his strings, in tune? He has had the experience, no matter how lazy. His brain simply lacks the pathways to do it. Tone deafness, to varying degrees, is actually quite common.
@@Prometheus4096 Both him and Rob got backing vocal lessons and have been since 2016 (Which I admit barely did anything). Yeah, he's got experience but like I said, he's lazy and doesn't bother to play the best he can, for whatever reason. That being said, James is better at rythm and lead than Kirk anyways. It's crazy
This is why none of kirks songs are on the hardwired album. He didn't lose his phone with tons of riffs. The band smashed his phone in a rage when he tried debuting the traffic school song in the studio. Unfortunately for kirk The traffic school song didnt quite make the cut on the double album.
