Can we take a moment and appreciate how good these guys still are? This show is from fking 2019. Almost 40 YEARS after Metallica was founded. Many people take it for granted, this is special guys, enjoy every second! Love this song and all band members performed so fking well in 2019!

Anyone catch Kirk’s fun pinch harmonics during the verses? Its a fun lil addition that I think is quite fitting.

Great to see that James' voice still sounds amazing live after almost 40 years. He even hits the right note at 'soothing' at 04:58, mad respect for him not taking the easy way by not hitting the high note there.

I love their camera work in their recent shows! This and the amazing sound combined with a criminally under-rated song makes this video a delight to watch.

I was fortunate enough to not be tainted by the critics before hearing this when the album was released. S&M is one of the greatest live performances out there and this song was and still is superb.

Name a song that has so much great instrumental and great rock n roll rolled into one song. Everything about this song is a masterpiece. And I think this even though my favorite genre of music is rap and I was born in 86. But, my dad did influence Metallica. Even as a 6 year old innocent kid sitting in the back of his truck while he was blasting Metallica I knew it was 🔥 then.

I really connected with this song after my wife passed away...a song that sounds like a literal freight train

This is by far the most interesting NLC-version, thanks to Kirks pinches during the first verse, and Lars holding back on the tam on the chorus and only hitting once on each tam. On SM2 he holds back a litle but then smashing on (like on NEM). And off course the vert sound of Greenie, but that kinda goes without saying.
