BPA is a project where I record guitar covers of entire albums. With BPA1, I am starting with a very influential album of my teens, Metallica's Kill 'Em All from 1983. Metallica's first effort was all about brutal speed, blistering guitar tone, and fun youthful energy.

Bryan what are you listening to I your headphones? The song or your guitar? I'm trying to learn how to play along a song like this. When I play the song in my stereo and play guitar I can't hear..

It's a mix of both! My recording interface allows you to mix the sound from your computer with the incoming sound of your guitar so when I record these, I am hearing an even mix

+metal9023 thanks dude. If you want to use your interface for this purpose, you would want to mic your amp of course if your amp doesn't have DI. Get your computer audio coming through your interface. On your interface, looks like you'd switch the direct monitoring on, and then use the big monitor knob to adjust how much of your guitar signal you mix in. Also, when I do practice with a song, I usually don't use this method, just play along with speakers as you originally said!

Thanks dude! I never really considered making any instructional videos. Kirk's stuff is not too bad once you get the couple of basic pentatonic patterns he uses down. If I did make one, how should it be? Just slowing down each lick or providing tabs? I'm not sure how I would do it

Show the licks Slowly and telling the notes your playing either way you'd be the only person in RU-vid who could help me out I love that intro and I can't follow tab sheets to save my life I learn most riffs by ear ..thanks!

Bryan, I want to duplicate the sound you have as closely as I can and I haven’t had much luck using the equipment I have. I’m starting to think I should just buy exactly what you listed in the description. Thoughts? Only difference is I’d be playing on an epiphone Les Paul. Would you recommend this or are there cheaper options? Like perhaps an all in one effects pedal or something.
