This piano version of Metallica's iconic ballad Nothing Else Matters is heavily inspired by the stunning cover of Scala & Kolacny, a Belgian women's choir that recently caught my attention for their beautiful and minimalist covers of iconic songs. This version strips the introductory guitar solo and a lot of the embellishments from the song and leaves a fragile and haunting core. I've added some of the embellishments back in from a piano perspective to keep it interesting - choirs just hit differently. Hope you enjoy this interpretation!
this song was played during my parent's opening dance of their wedding. My dad doesn't dance a lot with my mom nowadays but this cover somehow managed to get them to slow dance together. Thanks :) this is done beautifully ngl
It's really impressive you made a hard rock song sound so delicate and haunting. It's pretty cool how well a lot of older rock/metal bands translate to piano covers; things like this, November Rain and Sweet Child o' Mine by Guns & Roses, and a couple of Ozzy Osborne songs that I've heard but can't remember the names of all have really haunting and beautiful piano covers that I've heard.
I'm just now finding this, don't know how I missed the post. Didn't expect you to learn it this quickly, but thanks for actually taking my suggestion. Great work as always, it sounds fantastic💪🔥
