StinkingSkunk Oh I dig. While bands like Mutemath, Muse, Arcade Fire, Kopek and, say, Arctic Monkeys are good, they don't even come close to what was put out up til about 99-2000. But if you have some suggestions I'd love to hear them. I'm always looking for a new band to get into. As long as it's not this new "banjo rock" ie Fun, Mumford and Sons, Imagine Dragons (however their first album was pretty decent)

James Ness Those bands are more Indie Rock/Electric Rock. Metallica being one of the Big 4 of Thrash Metal. I recommend looking up Tool (Progressive Metal), Chevelle (Alternative Metal/Rock), Periphery (Progressive Metal), Rammstein (Industrial Metal/Alternative Metal) (I recommend looking up the english translation to their lyrics as the stories they tell from their 3rd album, called "Mutter", and onward are great ones.), Senses Fail (Was Post-Hardcore, now pure Hardcore Punk) (Renacer is a great album of theirs), Slaves (UK) (Punk, maybe Hardcore Punk). Just limiting to one genre, I can tell you that Music is still very much real. Tool, Rammstein, and Chevelle are favorites of mine.

I'm so glad I was introduced to metal. When I was a baby, My parents played legends like metallica,iron maiden,judas priest,Black Sabbath,megadeth,anthrax,slayer,and many others. This is my mom's favorite metallica song and my dad's favorite Metallica song is Orion. Thank you so much mom and dad.

Apparently, I was 13 years old when it came out but in my mind I was much younger. I think maybe because it scared me so much in my mind I think I had to have been at least 8 or 9. Pretty wild to think about. I think this video is pretty much unrivaled in terms of creating an atmosphere of fear and sadness while at the same time making me want to fight someone, lol. Just an incredible video.

anthony vadala brother I feel you. walked the same steps. I tried to turn the horror into transforming into positive, and creating SOPs for dealing with the next trauma. Because of reality across earth in 2016. building capacity at the coalface, to stop impunity and abuses, by giving people the skills to have transparency and accountability is definitely my strategy, as is being with friends and loved ones in beautiful places, listening to great music, many tactics to heal brother. it gets better, you survived for a reason.. start by writing it through. remember your a survivor.

The more I think about this the crazier it makes me feel. His arms, legs, hearing, voice, sight all gone. He's awake but no voice so can't ask what's happened, can't hear so can't be told what's happened, no sight so can't see what's happened.
