Easily. Kirk's solos on this song are downright sick! No, not sick. Terminal! I couldn't believe there weren't any guitar solos on the St. Anger album. The first thing I thought when I heard songs like this one on Death Magnetic was, "Damn, it's like Kirk Hammett's hands have been untied!"
Not a fan of the newer metallica sound, and justice for all being my favorite album I have it tattoed as i like it so much, but the riff at 5:19 is one of the finest riff i've heard in a while.
I have this concert with me.Lars is just not consistent .His drum work in songs like MOP or Damage Inc are to the point.Looks like he is saving some energy
they don't add this to their set because it is so exciting and at the peek of their ability that it draws on their ability and they get tired after playing it
Where? I have only seen from DVD´s and back in the 80´s. They DVD´s are always edited, which means that the double bass isn´t actually played, but added in post-production. And the "lazy" excuse is just bullshit (no offence) because if he could nail those parts every time, I don´t see why he wouldn´t play it...
Sander Børresen It does just seem like you're complaining for the sake of complaining. Or the fact that you don't find his drumming to meet your standard which is fair enough
One of the best cuts from DM, but it doesn't sound incredible here. Lars' live double bass work is so sloppy they didn't even bother to edit it in or increase the volume, it seems.
+Rafael Gorga Live double bass sloppy? It's the sound tech man. If you watch other all nightmare long performances, then you can hear the double bass fine. 2015 perfomance of all nightmare long was amazing.
multiestonian Nah, this is Metallica, man. If THEY can't afford to hire a decent sound tech, then we all might as well just give up. Nowadays Lars is 50% actual chops and 50% studio magic. Refer to any live video of Dyers Eve.
