1. Holy crap this sounds amazing. 2. Holy crap I forgot how crazy good the melodies and grooves in Fixxxer are.

I don’t care what anyone says (including members of Metallica) Load and Reload were amazing albums. I became a fan at 13/14 (1996) by my best friend in 8th grade and listened to the entire back catalogue, but when load dropped in 1996 later that year, I really liked it when everyone else hated it, and when they dropped ReLoad I loved that even more. At that time in 1996-1997-1998 I thought it was some of the most amazing music I’ve ever listened too. There so much pain and therapy in those songs, the loss of Burton, the battling of alcoholism and growing up in a broken home, really spoke to me at that time in my life.

I will pray for S&M3 to hear this live.

I'll never understand for the life of me how anyone could hear Fixxxer, or Outlaw Torn, or Bleeding Me and tell me they're not heavy. If you can't feel the heaviness in this then I don't know what to tell you.

You can't expect anything bad from this guy, absolutely amazing work. Such a shame that they never played this live let alone with symphony

I was given the CDs of Kill Em All and Reload as a birthday gift. Yes, both at the same time. I was initiated to Metallica's work in the least typical way. Fixxxer is obviously one of the first songs that struck me for its arrangement. This is another childhood birthday gift for me. Thank you, amazing work.

YEAAAAHHH!!!! The Zimmerman has struck gold and given the people what they want. You have Fixxxed the problem people have had with this song for years- it never got the S&M treatment. Until Now!! Finally, the final track in the "Titanic Trilogy" from the Load era is orchestrated. Bleeding Me, Outlaw Torn, and now Fixxer joins the trio in a brand spanking new orchestrated outfit. A Gigantic thank you for this experience. It sounds epic, mighty, powerful and strong.

Man, this was just perfect. Enjoyed every second of it. I remember in 98, trying not to move a lot so the CD player won’t skip, listening to this song and being floored. I never thought you’d do it (and now I’m even daring to hope that someday I might be surprised with Carpe Diem Baby or Low Man’s Lyric)

Hey Ben, I love these songs that you make but how do you make S&M 2 versions of Metallica songs that they never played live or only played a couple of times in their career. This song has never been played live ever and To Live Is To Die has only been played once live. Do you have a secret program on your computer that allows you to make any Metallica song into an S&M 2 live version.

My interpretation of the song is simple. James has never been able to overcome the trauma caused by his childhood, with super-controlling parents (due to his fanatic religion), that has generated an anxiety that he has not been able to overcome, he has tried to overcome it with alcohol, but it has been useless, the pins are still there ... and when he thinks he has forgotten them... they come back ... more pins

This is absolutely incredible! Fixxxer has become one of my favorite Metallica songs and putting it into orchestral form is just fantastic. Saw the 40th on TV and only knew the Black Album at the time, but rewatching it makes me so happy they played it live. Hopefully for S&M3 they bring this masterpiece to life as you have just done.
