OMFG FINALLY SOMEONE WHO FUCKING UNDERSTANDS! Even when I was younger people were like "oh my god Metallicas new album St. anger sucks! They dont sound the same!" And im there at 15 like "You dont get it...."
Fuckin' AY! Raw, repetitive, violent, noisy, thrashy are perfect words for this album. Its as if they´re trying their very best to sound as annoying as possible. And I fucking love it! Some guys say they like it but claim the songs are too long, I think its perfect as it is. The repetitive theme doesnt bother me at all, I cant get enough of it!
If you think this is the greatest Metallica song, then Hetfield brought you up as a child as well, and you understand the power in this, the purity and the pain, the released emotions...the encapsulation of his message, the purpose of his intent. 26 years ive been loyal unrelentingly, for the rest of my lifecycles ill be staunch. FTS!
If anything, he's a sociopath. Psychopaths are methodical and intelligent, rarely caught before their punishments aren't life in prison or the death penalty. Though I doubt he's either. Just a human being that made some mistakes so stop judging, like you're so fucking good :v
VertexError The word mainstream is used so much that that is more mainstream than the music itself, let me get this straight music is not about what the rest of world finds good it's about what fits the best in your own head and what satisfies you the most and what speaks to you. I personally find slipknot to be great on releasing bottled up anger and the sheer terror from just the pettle and blast beating songs and of course the mad many Corey Taylor being one of the best metal vocalists out there today. so yeah maybe I'm wrong some people might not like metallica I get it but lets face it, Metallica and slipknot have made their place in the metal community there is no denying it
to tell you the truth i like this album much cause it was the first album i have heard so it reminds me awesome times with my friends i believe you have felt this to guys with other bands so dont judge their album feel it

St. Anger is finally being seen as a standout. Always liked it. The Loud albums don't even come close to being as good. Apart from Hero of the day which is a great song

Metallica are selfish. They're not out to make music about anyone else. They all really don't care what people think of their albums. Lars tells people to bring what they got to him as far as insults go. They make music cause it makes them happy and not to please anyone. And I fucking love them. #1Band. The album is fucking kickass and unlike any other. I'm glad they made every album they did.
Honestly, I grew up on early Metallica and I don't know why so many people hate this album. Yeah it's different, but maybe that's what they wanted. And if they put out a "shitty" album like this and people still bought it and people still listened to it that shows that some people are true Metallica fans instead of just judgement all pieces of shit
to anyone who does not like this song. hop on your bike, ride it in a big city (for me it's berlin) and listen to that song while you nearly die every minute in traffic, because nobody gives a fuck about cyclists. you will feel this St. anger with every heartbeat. and as a big plus this gives you the anger to kick off some side mirrors of these asshole drivers :)
I don’t see the problem with the snare. It’s most likely the best snare I’ve ever heard. Obviously you have to get used to it. Past a listen or two it sounds really good. Someone back me up

Be One who the f is Joey jordonson. Probably just some lame gay who makes drum covers. Lars basically invented thrash metal. Think about it. He made Metallica and wrote almost every song. I’m glad I have people who agree with me. #LarsGang.

Hello there fellow metalheads. Instead of a Metal rebellion i propose a new plan. 1. Don't bash other metal artists, we need to unite. We cant fight against pop music if we arent even together. 2. Watch more and other metal videos to get it to the top of the youtube vid list 3. Instead of bashing pop, promote metal with logical reasons, not just "METAL RULES!" If you like this idea, thumbs it up JUST so people can see it, and also spread it around if you like this idea
@paopaocarabao so true, st anger is what made me into metallica. 2007 (but I've herd some songs fo it in 2003 y'know) I was having a bad time in school, in home, in my life. and this album helped me control my feelings. it express pretty much everything I was feeling. now being a hardcore metallica fan, I still say this is my fav album and the best to listen when you're pissed off of life :)
Well, Say it anger for all the bad Metallica has ever given. What more! keep commenting that's who we are. We don't see the best side of the band. Dare I say to those Bad commenters can you guys remake this song. I swear I'd never listen to Metallica if it is done exactly.
The words are a great encapsulation of experiencing anger. They caught the feeling musically and the imagery painted by the lyrics is thought provoking. Now, as for the percussion choice Lars made here--dead on! It's right for this album. It was right for them at that time.
the please is what really offended me, for only joking about a snare drum sound. I would have to assume that Gamermario is the drummer for this band, just for how bothered he is by my previous comment. (Only likely explanation)
