As a long time fan of MOP, and Metallica in general, I can't help but love the darkness of this song. It reaches in and grabs my soul and plays with it like Hetfield strumming an awesome rhythm from his guitar. Very difficult to describe but it's a great kick ass trigger for me. Much like a lot of Metallica's music. Of all their studio albums, Master of Puppets is, hands down, the best effing album they ever did. It's the only album of theirs where I love every song on it. Gives me very fond memories of Cliff, even though I never knew him. Wasn't Cliff the one who was into HP Lovecraft and the Cthulu mythos? Probably why I've always been intrigued by it and the Great Old Ones.

Gotta bring this one back out live, the full Helpless too.

I would love hear new versions of some of their older songs re-recorded for a studio album. I guess it would be a side project since they’re just new versions of older songs.
