My cover of the classic Kirk Hammett solo for 'The Unforgiven' from 'The Black Album'. Guitar Tuition Site - www.philkinman.com Studio Site - www.mtrstudios.co.uk Please like and share!
One of the best solos ever written and my personal favourite. I watched a doccie abiut Metallica and Bob Rock gave Kirk a hard time pushing for this solo to be perfect
Man this was beyond perfection, wish I can play it like that but I'm still not there and don't know if I'll ever replicate it like that, this was note for note perfection and I like how you palm muted the beginning, sounds more badass.
That was badass man. I remember being proud of myself in high school when I learned that one. Yours was done better lol. On a side note, that backing track for solo was so well done with climaxes and emotive changes. Well done song on an extremely well done album. Even if it was a lighter change from its more metal predecessors.
Pretty good man, you even use the same fingerings as Kirk. A lot of guys dont pay that much attn to detail. Good show old chap! I'd be proud to show this to one of my guitar students as an example of "doing it right"
Thanks Ryan, I did learn it a long time ago from the Black Album tab book, but a lot of the fingerings and tones were wrong after I studied it. I appreciate your attention to detail for my attention to details buddy!
I picked the Guitar when I was 13, my best friend and I didn't leave our bedroom's until we were 17 trying to out do eachother for about 4 hours a day, after 10 years of touring I got into record production.
