From what I heard this was a song scrapped from kill em all in the first place, I would think from the way it sounds already it was on kill em all if I didn't know better, imo it would have sounded the same

If I was in Metallica in 1981-1983 and THIS was a piece that got made for KEA, I would’ve made this song be a title track and it would be different from FFWF. I’d have the original verse and chorus riffs completely switch places and now verses are sung over the chorus riff (now main riff) and the chorus sung over the original main riff (now chorus riff) and the chorus being: “KILL… KILL… KILL THEM ALL! KILL… KILL… KILL THEM ALL!” It would’ve perfectly synchronized with the main riff of FFWF if it was slower like in this video.

What if this version was instead of being called “Fight Fire With Fire” it was actually called “Kill ‘Em All!” ?

Think I heard from an old Metalligeek video that the main riff of fight fire with fire was laying around during the making of Kill ‘Em All. Not sure why they didn’t use it then but this is kind of an interesting look at what could’ve been

Yeah, I don’t think the Kill tone works on this one. Fight Fire sounds like a beautiful mess on Lightning, but there’s a reason they held that track back for later each though theoretically they played it during certain live shows of that era.
