I wish I could be there experiencing this for the first time. Truly one of the greatest animated shows of all time. When it was running and so was The Venture Bros, Bob's Burgers was just getting going, Archer was killing it, that was a golden age of animation.
Glad the kids are still getting into this! Although it essentially makes it ACTUALLY the Spinal Tap of the 90s-00s generation. Instead of a satire of it, it has become it lol. Fuck yeah, I'm into it.
I wouldn't even call it ironic. I just watched it after not thinking about it for so long, and I'm dying laughing. This show is just so hilarious, probably gonna go back and watch every episode because apparently I only watched a few when I was a kid
Watched this when I was a little boy. binged it all when I was 12. Am 19 now rewatching it on HBO. I feel like this show is funnier now that it's been a few years
I wouldn't say the writing, like most of my favourite gags and jokes were in the first season. It got an actual plotline later on which I'm fine with but honestly it became like 10% less fun to watch. That's not even bad that's like 90% enjoyment rate.
Like there’s still good episodes but in this batch but honestly it took until halfway through this season for it to REALLY click with me. Season 2 is probably the best season overall because everything is upgraded, even the music
Not really. The animation, maybe. But the writing was definitely way, way better earlier, because they weren't so focused on wrapping up the main story. The best episodes are the ones that have nothing to do with the main plot, where the guys just get into all kinds of goofy adventures.
@@esteemedyams It's not like they don't have a fair share of episodes where the guys just get into goofy adventures in later parts of the series. Plus take a look at the animation for the Castratikron music video for the best example I can think of for very... Lets just say stilted animation.
are Brandon making a new movie ? i thought it ended back at the doomstar requiem? i would applaud if hes working on a ending to the series, but didnt adult swim keep the rights to the show?
Even stranger I have the reprints for Seasons 1 and 2 sober that’s the ones they sell on Amazon, and it’s still in the same visual quality complete with Season 1 still being in the same aspect ratio that’s awkward as hell on a widescreen TV. Like at least Nick did the same with the Avatar DVDs it was the same footage complete with ads but it was still up scaled to good quality SD that might as well be HD. Granted not gonna complain too much about new official Metalocalypse stuff, but still what the hell?

This used to pop up on Adult Swim a lot when I was younger and I didn't seem to be really interested in it. How could younger me not be interested in this gem?
“You a lady Skwisgaar” “NO IM NOT!” Funny, but that reminds me of a bully back from middle school. He loved to constantly make gay jokes, and accuse everyone of being gay, and cackle like a hyena every time. Like laugh him self stupid whenever he managed to bully someone to the point they had a mental break down. The thing is, whenever anyone tried to give him a taste of his own medicine, and make gay jokes at his expense, he would rage in defense. Like screaming at the top of his lungs, face turning red, veins bulging screaming at anyone who called him gay. He’d even get physically violent. Skwisgaar isn’t anywhere near that bad but the whole general ‘dishing it, but can’t take it’ mentality made me think of that little psycho.
There are so many scenes from this show that are worth sharing... I almost went random with my pick in the end, deciding on the clips that had the best flow when put together.
