As we’re in the middle of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, I thought what better time to share my Keynote at the Miami Breast Cancer Conference held in March where I had the honour to speak to 1000 oncologists and health professionals on the power of sharing stories of HOPE 🎗💕
“The words you use are as powerful as the drugs you prescribe…” I say with conviction. I then ask, “By show of hands, who here has a patient or knows of a patient w/ stage 4 cancer who’s doing really well today?” - Almost all hands went up! 🖐
These are the stories that need to be told! These are the stories that patients need to hear! These are the stories I wish I heard upon my diagnosis…

I hope everything goes well for you. I just received a diagnosis of invasive lobular carcinoma..I understand ! I will have you on my prayer list ! I am 68 and I have no one to be here for me, close family is 700 miles away. I have a husband who is in dementia and I wrapped my world around him. So no really close friends to turn to. You are not alone ...I am here praying for you everyday. May God bless and keep you .

I'm a stage 3c OVC survivor and this is how I feel too. I can choose to believe and live my life or be afraid. I believe that I will stay NED until otherwise told. I love and support you Nalie and have watched your videos since I was diagnosed in 2016. You are touching ALL lives!

I hesitate to post this i don't want to offend. I don't have cancer. I have bipolar1 and borderline and cptsd. I don't know if Natie will ever read this i want to say thank you for your sharing you story. I wanted you to know that your story has helped even myself with my mental illness. Hello from southern California Beautiful and powerful testimony of your MBC Nalie ❤️🙏🏼 I was diagnosed at 44 with stage 3b, IDC, with lymph nodes involvement and chest wall. I'm now 54 and 9 years out and thriving! Thank you Father God ❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️ blessings to all.

beautifully spoken. so much truth. I'm so thankful that my new oncologist spoke these words to me on our first visit: Many doctors will tell you that stage 4 cancer is incurable, but I'm telling you that it is possible to be curable and live a long life with the right kind of treatment. And then preceeded to tell me stories of hope. Such an important message for doctors. Thank you for speaking it Nalie!

Awesome you are such an inspiration and easy to listen to. God speed with you, time is on your side. I learned from the very beginning of my stage 4 lung cancer to pick the best people and have maintained that for the last five years. I fired my primary care and took the Dr that without hesitation sent me for my chest x-ray followed by cat scan and mri of my brain to be my primary care Dr. and haven’t looked back. I interviewed at three different facilities till I found first a team and one that had a plan and I tested that plan with what if’s. The one I selected asked me at every turn is this what you want? So with proton, chemo and two surgeries I have beat the odds already past four years. Follow up every three months since 2015. Doing my part with diet and exercise and never missed an appointment. Two hour drive to my cancer treatment center where my team is!

Nalie thank you so much. You are a passionate speaker. I don’t have cancer myself but my partner does. I want her to live every day with hope. I want our lives to be filled with laughter and light. I know that there will be struggles but because of following your journey and hearing what has made you so strong. I have a much better understanding of my what I need to do. I will lift her spirits and share my positivity with her every day. Together we can do this. Thank you for sharing that fire that burns so bright within you. You are the story I will share with her.

What a beautiful speech. Nalie, you are sooooo talented. You girl, are in my heart every day. You have been giving me streangth for two years now. I thank God that he gave us a beautiful person like yourself. You know, when I was going through chemo, I went bald .... only to honor your believes and your fight. I love this you are an inspiration, thank you for sharing your story , I’m a cancer survivor DCIS grade 3 , Lumpectomy with (Breast Conservation ), Radiation 30 days , no five year med Plan ( because I want to try natural) and all clear today ... Thank you so much for sharing this. I had triple negative breast cancer diagnosis and treatment in 2016; I am now awaiting biopsy results for what may be a recurrence of breast cancer even after a mastectomy and reconstruction. A rare occurrence but it can happen. I have been trying to think positively, but unfortunately the worst had been creeping in for the past three days. Seeing this has given me the hope I need, not just to survive what may come my way in two days, but to thrive in spite of it. Thank you so much for being there during my cancer journey. I have learnt so much from your wonderful attitude and I hope to do the same ❤🙏
