METEOROLOGISTS REACT to "TWISTERS" (International Trailer) 

For anyone wondering the city El Reno in the movie is a little easter egg towards the El Reno town that got hit by the widest tornado known to man. And the fact it was the first tornado to confuse the hell out of many storm chasers bc of unpredictable pathing and doing u turns and unfortunately the first tornado to take the life of storm chasers

If you want to react to more Twisters content, the music video for Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma by Luke Combs (the official song of Twisters) also has some cool weather scenes in it too.

I like how the international trailer shows an emphasis on the human impacts. The U.S. trailer is giving "Yeehaw, it's a tornado!!!!" which sounds like cringily "over-Americaning." The international trailer feels "more human" in some ways.

the reasons why they dont show much in the US trailers is because its a sequel, the first film was basically the sell off film, there's no need for convincing to get people into the theaters. as it would be done internationally.

It's so much better with the dramatic music.

There was a tornado in I think it was Gallatin, TN, late last year that hit something that exploded and from what I could tell from the videos, the condensation funnel vaporized briefly, although the tornado itself was very much still present.

If you two want to see two tornadoes merging together, I’ve got two examples for you: Hesston, Kansas and Pilger, Nebraska. Watch these two closely. Dr Forbes, yes that one, was covering the pilger one for the weather channel as it was happening.

I am glad you followed through with it. I think this is the best by far at this point. Still got fingers crossed about that overpass scene they like to show. And as you said, possible there will be some explanation of "They're combining." But all in all, it won't be long.

I always have fun watching you guys. Your content is awesome! The 1996 Twister is my favorite movie ever and I’m so excited for Twisters. If you guys remember, in the original movie Jo and Bill’s crew had 4 Dorothys. In the Twisters trailer, it’s possible to see ‘V’ in the Dorothy that appears. It’s a cool detail showing us that this new movie is some kind of sequel to the original story. I’m really curious to see the connection between both movies. It’s also interesting that they’re putting El Reno in the movie, maybe a reference to what happened in 2011 and 2013? I’d love to know your thoughts on this. Keep up the great work! 💪🏻

Disrupting a tornado would be impossible because it gets its power from the parent thunderstorm.

So... About the fire-nado. I think there was a computer simulation showing that the cold air went to the center and the warm inflow hopped up and went around the tornado into the meso cyclone. Also, wouldn't the fire cause a huge gap between dew point and given temperature?

Since the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season has started officially and every Hurricane Season Forecast thus far has been the highest that each of the respective agencies/Universities etc have ever produced in their respective histories. Should probably have a video to talk about this.

The oil refinery scene is a call back to the may 2011 el Reno ef5 one that was pretty underrated
