Glycerol is a waste resource generated in the production of biodiesel - a component of oils and fats. Cardiff University's Catalysis Institute and Greenergy have discovered a new process that can create methanol from glycerol that could change the commericial potential for biodiesel.

Can you use the methanol back in the biodiesel process? You didn't talk about that, but it seems the most efficient use.
