😂😂 I use a 4" hooklink with a pellet banded size 14. At most a 11m pellet on the band, usually 6-8mm. Hookholds are insane and the smaller baits/hooks are harder for the carp to spit 👍 9lb guru n-gage handles the carp no bother, rarely snap off if ever and its down to user error.
That was a tiny short shank hook. Ive caught giant carp on bigger hooks than that. Bet you dont even fish. And as far as how sharp it was maybe it was dull on purpose because he didn't set the hook. Maybe he was just filming the carp eating the bait. Either way you don't know what you're talking about.
I just watched again. He definitely wasn't trying to catch the carp. If you knew anything about carp fishing you'd know that no one presses the hook inside the boilie. You leave the hook hanging from it. He pressed it inside so the carp wouldnt hook itself. Lol
Sharper hook? The downside with method lead is your limited to have a lighter sinker as only you can cast so much weight. That lighter sinker/method lead becomes a problem when the hook needs to be set. So very sharp hook is the answer.
@@EliteNugzWild trout don t attack pellets and especially not fast like that. The mix of fish and number of fish is not common to a natural lake. The hiding structures are manmade. Yes it might be a pond in someones garden but definitely not a natural body of water with wild fish.
