It was great to get back to this lovely commercial venue in Barnsley, South Yorkshire! I've been busy filming several sessions like this on a variety of venues covering different methods so please hit SUBSCRIBE if you like them and if you'd like up to 10 extra videos each month please take a look at www.patreon.com/catchfishingchannel for more info. Please stay safe and I'll see you in the next video, Jamie :)
Fished fleets many many times over the years, had some good days and some bad as it’s a hit n miss place, but had some great memories.Tend to catch more at smithies over the road tbh, will be back there a few times this year, plus Alan the owner is a lovely bloke
I say Mr.H. You seem positively rejuvenated following the weeks of being stuck in doors. Gotta mention the smallest carp shown here as one of the prettiest fish I've seen for a long time. You asked me to let you know how I got on when I went. Well, I used cage feeders for a fruitless 3 hours, and weirdest of all, I went right on the same spot with an Ian Lewis handmade float, and bagged up. This was at willow park Aldershot, on the middle lake, noted for being quite hard. But what we banked was what we refer to as a red letter day. I started with a couple of little skimmers, and roach, after that the better fish tugged hard one my light gear:- several perch between 1.5 and 2 lb, and several proper bream over 5lb a piece. The 2 youngsters with me were on an all out carp hunt. Not one carp turned up, however they were also bringing in bream about the 5bl stamp. My PB bream is 7lb 1oz. and has been a PB for 19 years. Trying another fishery during the week coming, and will employ similar feeder tactics until I've cracked it. On a final note, despite all the videos you share during lockdown, you only seen to come into your own on your seat box. Oh, and I love the camera angle from the margin.
Oh thanks for that mate! Yes I hear Willow Park can be hard mate. That was the first commercial I ever fished in 1990 on my England Youth Trial but I think Gold Valley has taken over as the most popular in that area now isn't it?
enjoyed it as usual Jamie. The camera on the tip is a great angle.Should have commented on it before but its very informative. Unfortunatley I shall be back on the Thames soon so the match gear will go away for some proper tackle lol. Because the chub and barbel will trash my match feeder gear.Keep producing the videos and i really look forward to the live match ones when you guys are able to match fish again.
Fleets is a great venue, pitty you dropped on them spawning as it has been fishing really well. Would like to see you do a winter video at fleets as theres loads of bream too.
Great video Jamie and like all the other comments the margin camera was spot on lad. What flavours are your goo's ? This will help naming them. I do like the name Joose. Jamies Joose in mellow yellow and red raider. Thanks for sharing.
Hi jamie, another great video. Can you recommend 2 lines to me please. 1 feeder and 1 for float. Targeting nothing bigger than 10lb. Your advise would be much appreciated. Thanks again
Thanks mate really appreciate it! I only use Horizon line on my reels mate this one www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/horizon-x-sinking-mono?c=line-braid

@@CatchFishingChannel yup just started recently and it helped a lot with too much sun problem . Good job i know the pain of recording and editing on your own . Cheers
You should call your liquid additives ...... JOOSE. Using J from your name, the "double-O" from "Goo"", and just an alternative spelling of "juice". You're welcome. Nice alternative video / venue.
