He isn’t using a clip, he’s just using judgement to cast in the same area, there’s no need to be on a sixpence as he isn’t fishing towards a feature :)

"Yes, u Can" keeps accuracy in the feed area. When you cast to find the initial range, the rod is lifted from 3 O'clock to 11 O'clock and then clipped. So when you recast to the clip with the rod now at 11 O'clock and wind the reel down, this compensates for a carp that runs...
