@@leatherhitman7401Coast contra is dope for sure. But this whole era was different. Like dude said, it's hard to explain if you weren't there. I think it had to do with the originality of it. It was damn near a cardinal sin if you came out sounding like someone else, so it forced people to be original and there was so much original, really great music in this time period. It was like a banquet of dope music. Idk, I'm trying to explain something that's hard to put a finger on.
If all these rap niggas today put thought in their rhymes? It definitely would be the 90’s all over again 💯! Sadly that’ll never be. The 90’s was the last great era of rap
@@91Definite because the aim isn’t the same and the times have progressed ! (Haven’t gotten as far as they should’ve but they have gotten better)! This generations music is great for what it is if you listen to some artists that aren’t lyrical at all! Some are phony with their efforts and lyrics but some are aiming to not be lyrical but focus on energy, delivery and cadence or just swag! Don’t miss on the youngins it’s a whole new swag out here! And some are even carrying on some of the legacy left behind

I was in my early teens when i saw this and all i remember is hearing Meth going in and it was just crazy cause all the people in the theater started to go BONKERS and the place was packed and you can do is just feel the energy from everybody it was rocking like we were in a concert... DAMN!!!! i miss those years
My man had the sing song , rhythm to his flow, he got socially conscious, lyrically abstract , and hit us with some street gutter narrative only in less then a minute
It feels crazy to say Meth is underrated, but he is definitely an underrated lyricist. That's why he can rock on any verse with Red, cause that nigga is deceptively nice.
