In this video, we'll explore two common methods for preparing buffer solutions. In the first approach, a certain amount of a weak acid (or weak base) is neutralized with a strong base (or strong acid), forming a conjugate acid-base pair in solution. In the second approach, a weak acid (or weak base) is combined with a salt containing its conjugate base (or conjugate acid). View more lessons or practice this subject at www.khanacadem...
Khan Academy is a nonprofit organization with the mission of providing a free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. We offer quizzes, questions, instructional videos, and articles on a range of academic subjects, including math, biology, chemistry, physics, history, economics, finance, grammar, preschool learning, and more. How do you write the equation of the reaction that occurs between the weak base and the salt of its conjugate acid ?

For the second example are you sure you can jump straight to using the HH equation? Because how do we know the substances are at equilibrium?

Either way thank you guys so much for all the help over the years

it's not a reversible reaction, so equilibrium will be when the limiting reactant is exhausted, so once the 0.05 mol of OH- ions are used up
