Great 👍🏻 video Luke. Lots of painstaking work apparent- labeling & color coding the various lines and trains. Literally a beehive of activity. Need one of Chicago’s South suburbs! Excellent video.
@@Luke_Starkenburg Excellent news. I recently posted the trip report about LATAM. It does take time and I have a busy schedule at the best of times. :-)
xray606 What do you consider light power moves? Are you talking about just one engine? That seems appropriate for how few passenger cars are in the train.
@@Luke_Starkenburg Yeah, typically railroads in the US refer to a move with locos only, as 'light power'. They were moving around quite a few. They might transfer them from one side to the other after the rush, depending on the need. Or they might bring them back to the shop on the south end.
@@xray606 Check out this short clip from another of my videos. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WAMq0g1dWHY.html. Start around 1:40. It's one loco pulling 136 cars in upstate NY.
Spencer Boxer I forgot to mention that any trains that aren’t notated are out of service, or deadhead trains. They are going empty to the yard. Since this is the morning rush hour, most of the inbounds are full and a log of the trains we see going outbound are heading to the yard empty until the evening rush hour.
