If anyone decides to take the redline please be careful there are a lot of mentally unstable people riding along as well. I saw some girl get followed because she wouldn’t give the guy her attention. Stay safe if using the redline
And purpleline i saw 2 pasaengers cooking up drugs inside the train with a beaker and the train car smelled so bad smoking whatever substance they cooked
I think out of all the Metro Railway lines in LA, the B and D subway lines are the scariest and unsettling to ride on probably due to the high crime rate in certain stations like Westlake/MacArthur Park Station, drug use, and the homeless trying to camp in the stations. I just rode the B line for the first time in a decade a few days ago, and there was this guy at Union Station who was angry to himself and sat at different seats in the car I was in. Luckily he got off before the train departed.
The HR4000 trains will replace the A650s between 2025 and 2028. Those trains will be built by CRRC and will have full operator cabs and open gangways. The first 64 cars will be arranged in 32 2-car pairs, with future option orders using both 2 and 4 car sets. This will allow all trains on lines B and D to have 6 cars. With the completion of the order, all Budd Universal Transit Vehicles and their derivatives (which only comprise of the A650) will be retired by 2028. Miami's vehicles retired in 2018 and Baltimore's will retire in 2026.
I didn't even know LA had a subway until last month. Then again I do live in South Central so I don't blame myself for not knowing 😂 but nice video I always enjoy the cab views of the LA rail lines
