Those Smaller Brains in Theory and nothing is confirmed can be attributed to possible clones of Mother Brain's DNA. This is a planet of the Chozo after all. The fact that in Super Metroid get the Hyper Beam off of Mother Brain and now an Omega Cannon in Dread on a potential clone can't just be a coincidence. And the Brains are somehow linked to the EMMI. It's what allows the EMMI to track you in the first place through the Brains Connection. The failsafe as you see with the Spider Magnet EMMI is that once the brain clone goes down it sends a signal to the EMMI that always alerts them to where you are. Which could be because you posses the Omega Cannon itself!
