i remember those days in fusion those freakin parasites were troublesome back then till now but it was enjoyable even this amazing sequel 10/10 and also EXCELLENT PLAYTHROUGH DARKYUDA!!!
You probably know this by now, but in case you don't, and for others who don't: you can shatter enemies frozen by your Ice Missiles with one tap from your Melee Counter. It doesn't matter how big they are or how much health they have! Edit: Unfortunately, this neat mechanic is rendered mostly superfluous due to enemies dropping FAR too much ammo on death, which means you can burn your Missiles with abandon and never run low. If that aspect had been balanced better, a little trick like this would have been much more meaningful as a way to conserve ammo. At least it still has a minor advantage of making it slightly quicker to dispatch foes when you don't feel like waiting on a Melee Counter opportunity (or they are flying / climbing / attached to a wall).
I've always loved how in the first cinematic encoutner with Raven Beak at the beginning, you get all the clues on how to beat his first phase later in the game. He's immune to blaster shots, but takes damage from rockets. You can duck the red field and counter his grab indicated with a red flash.
You've got some real skill, killing Dread Beak without getting hit. I beat him about a year ago in my first and only finished playthrough, but now I'm at the fight in my 2nd playthrough, this time on Hard, and je has killed me 3 times so far; though I was definitely close the last time. I always wind up so frustrated after I die to him that I wait until the next day to retry 😄 Was that kill a first take? 🫡 Edit: Also, I can almost never get the timing right for the counter when he charges at you in phases 1 and 3! Not the one where it goes into a little cutscene, that counter is easy. The attack where he just sorts of flies at you, but he's still on the ground.
It took me a while to learn the attack patterns of all the bosses. Raven Peak was definitely the one that took me the longest to memorize the attack pattern.
I noticed that sometimes youll go into a short spin jump and let out a full Beam charge, even though it seems to take my Beam ~ 2 seconds to fully charge. Does spin jumping lessen the charge time somehow?
you mean that? 1:18:51 I don't know, it's always been easy for me to do this beam jump. One thing I always do is release a missile along with the charged beam, pressing the missile button at the same time as I release the beam button.
Yep, that's what I'm talking about. Apparently it goes to a full charge faster when you jump! So now I've started doing that in my playthrough, so thanks! lol Releasing a missile at the same time is a good idea too, I'll have to start doing that.
Just a heads up, but the title says "itens" instead of "items." But anyway, you have the best longplays of the Metroid Prime trilogy and this Dread longplay is awesome too!
