Taking into account the fact this game is an obvious Quake (3) knockoff and HL is based on Quake 1 engine... yeah, no wonder why Except this game is on DS while Quake 3 and Half-Life were on PS2... (1 was on PS1 and N64 tho, so... yeah)
This was a damn hard challenge but I just completed my first time 100% and dude Im so proud lol this was the only Metroid game I had never done a 100% run but today I can rest in peace 😂
It has a nice charm to it. Aside from controls, it was nice to lose yourself in this maze-like Metroid game, even if progress was impeded by youth brain not understanding where to go xD
I was such a sucker for this game back in the day. Had the wrist strap and played the hell out of the online multiplayer until it inevitably died off. There was something uniquely special about the experience of this game.
I really love this game, both the multiplayer and even the main story. I got stuck a lot because back then, I wasn't very good with 3d metroid games but I seriously love this game. Plus, it has one of my favorite characters in it, being Sylux. Can't wait to see him in prime 4
@@u960I was around 3rd grade when I first payed this game. This is technically my first 3d metroid game, but I absolutely sucked at 3d games at the time, so I abandoned it. About a year later, I played through metorid prime 1 and beat it in a year (I took a few month break because my goofy ahh couldn't figure out how to get to wave beam. This was before I learned how useful Scan Visor truly was)
The 3DS reminds me of the old times, where devs have to make the best with ancient or bad technology. They still make games for this thing and Hunters and RE Revelations look great.
i don't think this is an unpopular opinion at all to be honest - many people love this game and i most certainly do too! a lot of memories in this game!
My very first Metroid Prime game. I absolutely loved it. I know alpt of people didn't. What I loved most though was the ds download play multi-player. And it was many years before I realized that the voice was saying "Octolith Taken"
Apparently it even has a game breaking glitch to where if you can't get past a shield door, you have to start over from the beginning. Happened to me just now and it sucks.
Did yaknow this game was designed to be played with a thumb stylus? It was an accessory only included wiith the Phat consoles. Less crampy, still get access to both triggers, feels kinda like using a ball mouse
I'm almost certain you missed a couple of scans in the incubation vaults. There are 2 or 3 consoles explaining that the portals next to them will return you to the docking bay (and are one way portals).
Now this, this is a game that desperately needs remastered or remade! At 4K, the graphics don't look bad at all! On this DS they were chunky and low-res. We don't need another Zelda TP/WW port, we need this redone!
i always though you couldn't make a damageless run of this because of this specific part 41:34 where sylux starts shooting at you while you're still on a cinematic 💀
Can someone please tell me how to play this game like this? I know it is some kind of emulator, but i do not really know how it works. Can someone tell me, please :)
It's impossible for me to look back to when I played this with fond memories, this game was awful. Bad controls, bad level design, same bosses repeated over and over, I could not push myself to finish the campaign. The only fun I had was with the MP bots and cheesing them using Trace or Sylux with his turret.
Yo hablo español Y si decía no daño pues nunca le haran daño entonces porque se metio a la lava hubiera dicho con letras aqui se meten y encontraran un espacio de energía xd
I will say, people rag on Federation Force or Other M, but in my personal opinion, THIS, is the worst Metroid game, however I don't hate any of the Metroid games, but I would rather play those two then this, and that's saying something because I liked this game!
