I unironically love how you can actually go in here before getting the gravity suit, fall to the bottom like a dumbass, and then have to struggle back up
@@the_observer9786 oh I didn't think of that. I suppose ice would be better in that case. But the homing property of the Wave Beam is probably good too.
+Wade Daniels Yeah, it you read some of the scans, looked at some of the room names, and looked at the room designs, you could clearly see that it was the one from space at the beginning.
I've been playing Metroid Prime all my life lol I noticed it was the ship from the beginning of the game when I was like 8. Honestly before that. I was like 4 lol. I'm 23 now lol
Everyone goes back to Phendrana and gushes about its atmospheric music. Maybe it's just me, but I do think this is the most beautiful song in the entire game.
+1mmortalGaming Yes...Prime is actually very well planned out... Echoes gets slightly worse, but ti's mainly missing ambiance... Reminds me of mario 64, the water world.
I have the trilogy downloaded onto my Wii U and currently playing through the first Prime game. When I entered inside the crashed space pirate frigate, I was blown away by the music.
+Alpha Nueva It's fine. Sorry I called you a moron. Yeah, Amazon is selling the Gamecube version for about $150, however I found some cheap prices on ebay, so I guess I'm partially wrong.
Can you not see the themes in this game? - How beautiful yet how powerful nature is. The frigate stored organisms that were experimented on and used as bioweapons. Eventually, the frigate crashes, all of it's surviving organisms are released from their capsules, and Talon's wildlife floods the frigate and makes it's new home. Ironic.
@@neworderfuture9780 I think it's confirmed (They Remastered Metroid Prime 1 and this is my introduction fo the metroid series I am so happy they did it and so far I love the game and also really scared of certain tracks like the phazon mines theme that would've scared me as a kid had I played the original.
@@Picnicl I was about to say that. DKC was a masterclass in atmosphere and visual storytelling... honestly, DKC and Metroid have a surprising amount in common, despite not appearing so at first glance.
In a small corner of all that we call 'culture' we, lucky gamers, rejoice the distinctive landmark achievement in videogame-arts that is Metroid Prime.. i'm suddenly overwhelmed by that sentimental wave of realizing that I played this game 11 YEARS AGO. Thank you Nintendo, thank you Retro Studios!!
+Daniel Ram not sure where you live, it is available in europe for 20 €, they've been selling it for 10 € in its first week, that was the biggest steal in the history of gaming EDIT: seems like it is when I go to Nintendo.com and it says 20$ for the game with "Buy Now" right below
You know when you make the greatest game in gaming histoy ( and an legendary one) when After Eleven years this masterpiece was created from retro studios , peoples still play it over an over and with the same excitement the day the game sorted on librairies , no other games will be at the tail of Metroid Prime , Goddamit 2004 was the gaming gold age , i stil remember the day when i was an kid and got this game , no other game offer me this satisfaction , im gonna say it over an over , Retro and Prime was an hundred of thousands milles ahead of is competitors in the time .
For me, the best moment of this place was the first time I stepped foot in the Reactor, fell all the way down, and had a Pirate missile explode two feet in front of me. It is underwater that the reflection of Samus' face reflects brightest and the best level of detail is visible. From that moment on, every last ounce of doubt was removed. This was a worthy successor to Super Metroid. I am a lucky man to have played both games in the year they came out, and every year since then!
This is interesting because most of the people in the comments seem to be video game people but I found this because i’m a rap fan. Trippie Redd sampled this and I had to find the original song which turned out to be this. Trippie Redd sampled it into into two songs... Love Scars, and my favorite song by him, Long Way Home From Mars. Hearing this makes me really appreciate the musical composers and artists that came before this generation to give us truly amazing music.
I'll show you how to find it, convert audio to mp3, open in audacity, reverse it, look on the timeline thing above the audio and go to the 2 lines BEFORE 1:15, then you found the exact same sample used in love scars, now you just need to slow it down to like 0.500
The first time I entered this stage and this song started to play I felt peace. Watching Samus’ reflection on her helmet underwater while you’re exploring the ship and listening to this music is something that you can’t explain with words. Such an amazing game ❤️
wow....its so...beautiful.. :') the music is so... gets you in the feels. i'm still playing the metroid prime series till this day, and never gets old. i hope we get another metroid prime game installment. come on, nintendo! lets have another adventure with samus aran, the best bounty hunter in the world and this amazing music!
Yes. In the frigate when you enter it in the very beginning, there is something mentioning the Frigate Orpheon was in orbit above Tallon IV for 0-G experiments or something like that.
Metroid Prime: Graphics ahead of its time, a wonderful storyline, almost no glitches (and none I encountered of them impeded gameplay in any way) an even balance of tough and easy enemies, and perfectly-selected music. One of Nintendo's Finest!
Everytime I hear this it takes me back. Back to a time when I was younger and life was care free. No stress, not too much work, a simple childhood. Metroid is one of those games that stays with you.
What i love most about the music is that the music is fused with a synthesizer. The mix between a piano, sci fi effects, and the whole environment gave what many players called the unique feeling. There are few words that can ''explain'' metroid prime. And unique is one of them.
i love playing this on the piano, such an awesome song, amazing how mthey added the thigns in the bagroudn and made it sound as though it were literally udnerwater /Salute to you who worked on this song
I've played many of the series, but Prime (one) will always and forever be my favorite. Half the experience was the music imo. Still haven't beat Prime 3....
I've used this as music to fall asleep to. Not in a 'this is boring' way, but in a 'this is so good, it can relax me at anytime, anywhere' way. What a beautifully written song.
Backwoods On Tha Beat If Trippie was half the rapper everyone made him out to be, his producer wouldn't need to sample so heavily. We're here for Metroid.
@@squashua_ Shout out to his producer nonetheless, I always listen to OST's and imagine how it could be sampled in modern hip-hop. Never expected this to be in one though, so amazing.
I remember being a little kid and sitting down to watch my pops play this game for hours. To this day my pops and i still listen to this soundtrack on occasion. Where did time go? i was 6 years old when this game around and 15 years later i still sit down and play it when i can.
I thought it was cool how this is a do-over of the Maridia music in Super Metroid, and the underwater area in Echoes plays the Red Soil Brinstar music from that.
Music is what you're left with after the game is over. It's also the soul of the game. With no music, the game is empty and it will likely be forgotten. Going through Metroid Prime for the first time, actually, and I love this piece!
for some reason i picture myself looking at other planet's,galaxy's, the ambiance is so relaxing close your eyes and imagine other parts of the universe
and an ominous soundtrack to boot. The amount of creativity involved here is just incredible and worthwhile. Not only that but the game makes you FEEL things as your playing that you just can't get out of games like CoD. But there's different kinds of games out there for different kinds of people man. If you enjoy simplicity in games and are just looking to have a good time with friends I recommend CoD. But if you want something more engaging and creative than the norm Metroid Prime is for you.
there should be more prime inspired content in smash. frigate orpheon was ok with the parasite queen but that only made me want more, maybe in the next smash since it appears there isnt any new metroid prime stuff.
Daaaaamn dat sound finally i found it.. An all time favourite music game.. Wonderful just wondeful what the hell can i say to describe this pure beauty
thats what this song is really about. Its like you was at a place you grow up in before then you left the place few years later you go back to that place find it not what it use to be before. For all the people out there that still runs to your past think of this song
When you're going up that large elevator shaft underwater and the space pirate falls from the ceiling and just floats in the water. It actually made me sad watching it just float there and this music playing made it even worse. I know they are your enemies but this tune made me have a lot of symphony for them for some reason.
Thanks Retro Studios. One of the best games ever conceived. Artistically incredible. And Kenji Yamamoto made one of the best soundtrack for a game ever.
You are alone. You are water Amid quiet echos of technolodgy and floating...gently down... to the next ledge. a timid screech as you switch to your thermal visor to search. Powerful and gentle, Old and ... and Vibrant. Vibrant. you could peacefully die here.... and not care at all.... Composer is an artistic genius.
It sounds so sad. Like memories of an old school you went to when it closed in your third grade year, and you're inside it. Or the ruins of a relationship that has been strained because the girl you loved so much had to move. Or watching an old movie you had loved for many years, but never got the chance to watch years after you first saw it. That pretty much suits my childhood in a nutshell. So many things came and went, and one is revisiting those lost memories in the endless annals of time...
I love listening to this song when I do digital paintings, especially if I'm doing a concept that features an underwater environment... it fits so well, it's so ambient and awesome.
this music is so beautiful, it helps me relax and get away from troubles of modern life, i could listen to this forever man! its so... awesome. i need these metroid songs as ringtones
A thing that makes Metroid better then Zelda: In Metroid, when you fught against an enemy, the music does not change, just for bosses and if many space pirates get to your location. In Zelda, for example when I enjoyed the piano music when Midna is almost dead, I freaked out everytime an enemy gets near my position, because of the changing music. Best solution in (e.g.) Pikmin, the normal music will be 'upgraded' by just one instrument.
