I think they will get more out. Scalpers aim for a lot of Nintendo hot buzz. Originally you couldn't find the Skyward Sword Amiibos and now they are all over the place (same with the Metroid Prime ones). There may be a delay, but they'll adjust.
@TikTok User huh so that explains these comments, yhese are bots. It's only explanation for someone to make the ludicrous, that they themselves are better than Nintendo
It would have, if they streamlined the backtracking by adding one or two more elevators, added a autosave feature and fixed the search for the Chozo artifacts in the end. The rest is good. At least by Prime 3 they got all of those aspects right, so Prime 4 will probably build on top of that.
@@The_Ostrich Metroid Prime was better than Prime 3. The backtracking is essential to Metroid. Prime 2 made really good use of backtracking for some interesting encounters
@@The_Ostrich The whole point of a metroidvania is that there isn't auto and quicksaves. You have to plan your route and do a full journey from A to B. The chozo artifacts search is fine. It gives you literally all the clues you need simply by getting the scans.
Hard to buy when Nintendo didn't produce enough physical copies. Many of us prefer to buy all our games physical. Digital isn't an option for those building a physical collection.
@Lionheart They never announced it was limited, but they didn't even produce enough to fulfill initial pre-orders, let alone sufficiently stock store shelves or online retailers. People who pre-ordered are being emailed by Amazon & other places saying their game may arrive by March 17th... That's just pre-orders 😭
@@corey2232 ah that sucks, but since it's a new (re) release there is hope for them to produce more copies. As long as you get the box and the cartridge in a reasonable time frame it's fine. Not like that scam that was the Mario 3D Collection.
Same. While I love all 3 of these games in the Prime series, Echoes os my personal favorite. Using the Screw Attack and the dual world dimensional traveling. The Luminoth. The Dark suit and Light suit. Yeah, I love this game. Haha
@@johndodo2062 to each their own. I think Metroid Prime remastered shows games can look and play good. But I don't care about the hardware. I want it to be fun to play. But that's just my opinion :)
@@gligarguy4010 it's More Xbox area, we usually have Xbox Arcades in stores, so It's More popular between kids, adults are not to much into this world but those who knows about videogames love Nintendo Games and retro Arcades
@@gligarguy4010 can't answer for the rest of Latin America, but Nintendo is incredibly popular in Mexico, especially after the Switch. I know more mexicans with Switches than other consoles.
HUGE longtime Metroid fan here. This was an AMAZING remaster…completely preserved the look and feel of the original while updating and modernizing it accordingly. This is absolutely a standard for remastering games. Everything was how I remembered it, even though going back to the GameCube original, I realized just how much had been changed (for the better). Looking forward to Prime 4! (Please bring remasters of 2 & 3, as well! Simple ports just won’t do!)
Just beat it for first time can definitely understand the praise it got back then. really hoping we get 2 and 3 after hearing people say they’re just as good or even better.
Between Metroid Dread, Metroid Prime Remastered and the rest of the 2D games being made available on NSO it’s a great time to be a Metroid fan. I’m hoping Prime 2 & 3 get this type of remaster as well.
Anyone who questions just how good of a remaster this is know that they even cared enough about the BOX ART to give the physical copy a reversible cover with the american and Japanese covers so you can use whichever one you prefer. That shows the care they had for options and customisability if the control options and colour blind filters weren’t enough
I like how they showcased some of the things that tend to be harder to find/discern for new players. Like the [redacted] in the pillar at magmoor caverns
For any wondering, yes this remaster is worth it… - Improved/Flexible Controls - Really good looking (Especially for being on switch) - Incredibly stable frame rate - all of this for $40
I’ve never replayed a game as many times as I have Metroid Prime. It is absolutely my favorite game of all time, and seeing it remastered makes me so happy!
I really hope they confirm whether or not we’ll see remasters of the rest of the trilogy. Echoes was my favorite game in the series. Darker atmosphere.
So Prime 2 and 3 will probably be remastered too. But I wonder if we ever get a re-release of Prime Hunters. Yes, it was a little bit weird, but I'd love to have the complete package
I do have to say this is basically one of the finest games ever made. This version that looks incredible and actually runs at a proper framerate on top of it. Oh I forgot, the surround soundtrack is fantastic as well.
Add checkpoints/ autosave like in Metroid Prime 3 and Metroid Dread, nobody likes to replay the last 30 minutes after he dies. Its a outdated design mechanic that adds nothing but frustration, not a good way to sell newcomers on the franchise.
Awesome game! Physical copies have been sparse but luckily I was able to secure one from Amazon last night. It won’t be coming in until later on next week but once I’m able to play it, the wait will be worth it I’m sure!
@Matthew Crews I just went to another Walmart to pickup some water and was wanting to check and see and they had 4 copies at that one. I would go into Walmart and see. Especially if you have multiple walmarts around the area.
This game is where my love for Metroid began! I'm so happy to see it all remastered! It's so amazing! I really hope we'll get Metroid Prime 2: Echoes remastered next! 😍💖
I'm so excited seeing a game from 20 years ago being re-released to universal acclaim. A whole new generation is getting to experience Metroid with the Prime Remaster and Dread. Seemingly, the only downside is not enough physical copies on shelves to met demand. Who'da thought Metroid would be selling out in stores? Happy for you Samus!!!
I’ve already 100%ed this game in both normal and hard mode, it’s so much fun! Here’s hoping for Prime 2 and 3 Remastered at some point, as well as some news on Prime 4!
This is one of the best examples and the gold standard of remastering a game, some company's release a collection with some visual updates and call it a HD or remaster collection, but Nintendo and Retro Studios went far and beyond to bring back a 20 year old game and made it look like its a modern game for the Switch along with multiple controls options to fit your play style. I really hope that Echos and Corruption get the same remastered treatment, that would be a amazing way to build up for Prime 4 along with wondering how the game will look after the release of the remasters.
This is by far the best Nintendo game remaster. This looks like a lot of effort and care went into revamping the visuals to provide multiple control schemes to your liking while running at a smooth 6pfs. Brilliant work Nintendo, this has to be one of THE best-looking switch games ever. Also, I still cannot believe that this remaster is actually real after being rumored for so long. Hoping for Prime 2 and Prime 3 remasters next!
I recently started a Metroid game, and I can say I love the games, when I saw the Nintendo Direct and see this game announced I want it and the price in the eShop is accesible, I love this franchise.
That's so great that the Metroid series is enterring a new golden age with Prime 4 on the horizon. If you never played the original Prime, please don't sleep on it.
Do a proper remaster of 2 and 3 please! Not just controls, but the graphical improvement here was fantastic. I'd happily pay $120 for the entire trilogy remastered like this.
Compared to Mario 3D All-Stars THIS is how Nintendo should do ports. Along with Pikmin 3 and SM3DW+BF also being great ports as they added more story and gameplay. Really hypes you up for Metroid Prime 4 and I feel slowly Retro is gonna give us Prime 2 and 3 to help fill the long gap until we get Prime 4. Really good way to pace things. Maybe even include Pinball and Hunters somehow.
One of the best remaster ever made. The game is so gorgeous! Congratulations Retro! No matter how frustrating and lost I can get in it, at least I get to get lost in a beautifully realised world.
I played this and prime 2 ALOT when they came out. They're easily 2 slots in my top 10 games of all time. When you play, scan most if not everything, learn about the creatures, read the logs, learn about the plants, immerse yourself into the experience. The atmosphere is amazing and the sense of isolation and aloneness is something I rarely ever experienced in gaming again. Awesome game. 10/10.
